Rikki Organ
Rikki Organ was an Australian entertainer. He died in 2016 after a seven year battle with cancer. Organ was well known on the Australian club circuit singing favourites by Elvis Presley Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977), or simply Elvis, was an American singer and actor. History Rikki left his job as an electrician in Wollongong and found fame after winning '' Bert Newton's New Faces'' in the 1980s. In 2009, Organ was diagnosed with multiple myeloma blood cancer. He died on 2 August 2016 and is survived by his wife Jane and two children, Taylor-Louise and Tyne-James. Tyne-James Organ is an Australian singer-songwriter from Wollongong, New South Wales, residing in Melbourne, Australia. He released his debut studio album, ''Necessary Evil'' on 21 May 2021. Early life Tyne-James' father is Rikki Organ, who died in 2016. Organ built an online support base uploading cover versions of songs on YouTube. Organ supported The Vanns in 2014. and Allday and UV Boi in 2016. Career 2016–2019: Debut EP In 2016, Organ released his debut single "In My Arms". In 2017, Organ signed with Dew Process and released the single "Watch You Go" which Hayden Davis from ''Pile Rats'' described as "a beautifully stripped-back ballad which will leave your heart aching with its personal message." Johnny O'Keefe
John Michael O'Keefe (19 January 1935 – 6 October 1978) was an Australian rock and roll singer whose career began in the 1950s. Some of his hits include " Wild One" (1958), " Shout!" and "She's My Baby". In his twenty-year career, O'Keefe released over fifty singles, 50 EPs and 100 albums. O'Keefe was also a radio and television entertainer and presenter Often referred to by his initials "J.O.K." or by his nickname "The Wild One", O'Keefe was the first Australian rock n' roll performer to tour the United States, and the first Australian artist to make the local Top 40 charts. The Australian Entertainment Mo Awards (commonly known informally as the Mo Awards) were an annual Australian entertainment industry award, that where established in 1975, to recognise achievements in live entertainment in Australia. They were last awarded in 2016. Lucky Grills, actor and comedian came up with the idea to create an awards show to celebrate Australian Variety, during a meeting in 1975. The Mo Awards, initially were founded as the Star Awards and were a state honour in New South Wales only, local entertainers started the awards to promote the live entertainment industry in New South Wales. New Faces (Australian TV Series)
''New Faces'' was an Australian talent show that preceded the British show of the same name, produced at GTV-9 Melbourne. The program began in 1963 under the name ''Kevin Dennis Auditions'', sponsored by the new car dealership, Kevin Dennis Motors, which was run by Kevin Dennis ( Dennis Gowing), who was also a well known face on Australian TV from his catchy 'Update' TV Commercials in the 1960s–70s, which were featured during the breaks of the popular show. The program ran on Saturday mornings. The program name soon changed to ''Kevin Dennis New Faces'', and later simply ''New Faces'', becoming a Sunday night prime time show.
