Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson
Bjørnstjerne Martinius Bjørnson ( , ; 8 December 1832 – 26 April 1910) was a Norwegian writer who received the 1903 Nobel Prize in Literature "as a tribute to his noble, magnificent and versatile poetry, which has always been distinguished by both the freshness of its inspiration and the rare purity of its spirit". The first Norwegian Nobel laureate, he was a prolific polemicist and extremely influential in Norwegian public life and Scandinavian cultural debate. Bjørnson is considered to be one of the four great Norwegian writers, alongside Ibsen, Lie, and Kielland. He is also celebrated for his lyrics to the Norwegian national anthem, "Ja, vi elsker dette landet". Siri Rom (March 17, 1918 – November 13, 2002) was a Norwegian actress. She was engaged for many years at the Norwegian Theater. Theater Rom debuted at the Falkberget Theater before she was employed at the Trøndelag Theater from 1940 to 1943, at the Oslo New Theater from 1944 to 1945, and from 1946 onward at the Norwegian Theater. Erika Nissen
Erika Nissen, née Lie (17 January 1845 – 27 October 1903), also known as Erika Røring Møinichen Lie Nissen, was a Norwegian pianist. She was born in Kongsvinger as the daughter of jurist Michael Strøm Lie and his wife Ingeborg Birgitte Røring Møinichen. She was the sister of Thomasine Lie, who married Jonas Lie. She was the niece of Erik Røring Møinichen, her mother's brother. She made her concert debut in 1866 in Berlin, and played in Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Paris. She retired at the end of the 1870s to work as a music teacher. In 1894 she was granted an artist's scholarship by the Norwegian state. She was engaged to Rikard Nordraak for a short time. In 1874 she married politician Oscar Nissen. They were the parents of the pianist Karl Nissen. Their marriage was dissolved in February 1895, after many years of unhappy marriage. Helen Brinchmann (8 August 1918 – 10 August 2016) was a Norwegian actress. She was born in Kristiania as a daughter of Alex Brinchmann (1888–1978) and Nina, née Grønvold (1891–1924). She was a sister of Arild Brinchmann. She married ship-owner Rolf Engelsen in 1950, later to be divorced. (Carl Fredrik) Edmund Neupert (1 April 184222 June 1888) was a Norwegian music teacher, pianist and composer. Among Neupert's compositions, the ''24 Concert-Etüden'' and the ''24 Octav-Etüden'' are especially highly regarded. Biography Neupert was born in Christiana (now Oslo), Norway. Ingolf Rogde (14 May 1911 – 4 June 1978) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Sande, Møre og Romsdal, and was married to actress Siri Rom. He was mainly known for his long-term period with the touring theatre Riksteatret. Rogde made his stage debut at Trøndelag Teater in 1937, and was later assigned with Det Nye Teater, Det Norske Teatret, Riksteatret and Rogaland Teater. He also worked for Radioteatret. Edvard Grieg
Edvard Hagerup Grieg ( , ; 15 June 18434 September 1907) was a Norwegian composer and pianist.
