Right Frequency II is the sequel to the 1998 sitcom Right Frequency. The cast was expanded with Nick Shen and Joey Swee Joey Swee (born 5 June 1977) is a Singaporean actress and television host. Right Frequency
Right Frequency (播音人) was a 1998 24-episode sitcom starring Johnny Ng, Lina Ng, Sharon Au and Ryan Zhou. The show later continued with Right Frequency II up to 1999. The show has rerun many times - in 2001, 2002, 2008 and 2020. Plot The show, set in the '60s, centers on the happenings in the Chinese-language radio station called ''Radio Delightful Sounds'', abbrievated ''RDS''. Characters *Cheng Meiguang (Sharon Au) Meiguang is the new bird of the radio station. She is somewhat ditzy and often daydreams. *Handsome (Ryan Zhou Lian Fu) Also known as Yan Dao. He is metrosexual and uses his charms to date girls, but to no avail. *Li Qing (Johnny Ng) The veteran broadcaster. His tastes clash with that of Madam Bai. *Madam Bai (Hong Huifang) The station supervisor. Nick Shen
Nick Shen (, born 26 August 1976) is a Singaporean actor and singer. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1999 to 2012 but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. He has been working on the promotion of Chinese opera in Singapore. Joey Swee
Joey Swee (born 5 June 1977) is a Singaporean actress and television host. A former model, Swee entered showbiz as a ''Star Search'' semi-finalist contestant in 1997 and played her first leading role in the 1999 Channel 8 series ''My Teacher, My Friend''. She retired from acting in 2009 to become a full-time homemaker, and returned to screen in 2018 with the long-form drama series ''Reach for the Skies''. Personal life Besides English and Mandarin, Swee also speaks Hokkien. In 2000, Swee received warning from the traffic police for a speeding offence. Since 2005, Swee has been married to Indonesian-Chinese businessman Gani Bustan, the CEO of a coal and mining company who is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. They have three sons - Kynaston, Jefferson and Algernon. Swee does aerial yoga and hiking.
