''Riff After Riff After Motherfucking Riff'' is a 2002 compilation of the B-sides from various versions of The Wildhearts' 2002 single "Vanilla Radio" plus the song "Stormy in the North, Karma in the South". ("Vanilla Radio" would later appear on the 2003 studio album ''The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed''.) An expanded version of the compilation called ''Riff After Riff'' was released in the US the following year, featuring several more tracks recorded by the band in 2001 and 2002. These additional songs were generally used as B-sides for the other singles from ''The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed ''The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed'' is a 2003 album by The Wildhearts. The Wildhearts
The Wildhearts are an English rock band, formed in 1989 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band's sound is a mixture of hard rock and melodic pop music, often described in the music press as combining influences as diverse as the Beatles and 1980s-era Metallica. The Wildhearts achieved several top 20 singles and two top 10 albums in Britain, though they also faced difficulties with record companies and many internal problems often relating to drugs and depression. Much of the band's early career was affected by bitter feuds with their record company, East West. Throughout the band's history, members have regularly been replaced, with the only constant member being the band's founder, singer and guitarist Ginger. Several band members have appeared in the line-up more than once. The band has also been split up or placed on hiatus by Ginger multiple times. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. ''The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed'' is a 2003 album by The Wildhearts. The album's title makes reference to 1969 horror film ''Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed''. The album was the first new studio release since The Wildhearts broke up in 1997 and reformed in 2001. Rumours indicated that the album would feature the same line-up as the 1993 album ''Earth vs the Wildhearts'', and that line-up did indeed reform in 2001, but bassist Danny McCormack dropped out and entered rehab just prior to the recording of the album. McCormack had appeared on some songs that would be used as B-sides for the album, but on the album itself bass duties were performed by group leader Ginger. Three singles were released in the UK with some chart success: "Vanilla Radio", " So into You" and " Top of the World". Vanilla is a spice derived from orchids of the genus ''Vanilla'', primarily obtained from pods of the Mexican species, flat-leaved vanilla ('' V. planifolia''). Pollination is required to make the plants produce the fruit from which the vanilla spice is obtained. In 1837, Belgian botanist Charles François Antoine Morren discovered this fact and pioneered a method of artificially pollinating the plant. The method proved financially unworkable and was not deployed commercially. The album collects almost all the B-sides recorded by the band and released on various CD and vinyl singles during their reformation and comeback in the 2001-2003 period. The A-sides of most of these single releases appear on the 2003 studio album ''The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed''. The exception to this pattern is "Stormy in the North, Karma in the South" which was recorded as a non-album A-side for its own single release.
