Riem Arcaden
The Riem Arcaden is the largest shopping mall in Munich. It was built in the Messestadt Riem district at Willy-Brandt-Platz according to a design by the Allmann Sattler Wappner office and opened on 10 March 2004. The 122,500 m² building complex of the Riem Arcaden city quarter offers space for over 140 shops, cafés and restaurants on three floors and around 61,100 m² of retail space. In addition to various fashion brands - including brands such as Marc O'Polo or Tommy Hilfiger (company)- technical novelties, sports equipment, accessories, toys and home décor, doctors, a pharmacy, hairdressers, beauty salons as well as a dry cleaner and alteration tailor are also available for the approximately 9 million visitors each year. Messestadt Riem
Messestadt Riem (literally: Convention City Riem; Central Bavarian: ''Messestod Ream'') is an urban district in the east of Munich. It is part of the municipality 15 Trudering-Riem, and located entirely on the grounds of the 1992 abandoned Munich-Riem airport and includes today, along with a residential area, the Neue Messe München trade fair center and the Riem Arcaden shopping mall. History Messestadt Riem is, after Freiham, the second youngest district of Munich. After the flight operation was moved in 1992 to the new Munich Airport, the old airport building in Riem could be emptied and the construction of the new exhibition center started from the mid-1990s, with the corresponding rapid transit connections in the following years. Nordsee
NORDSEE is a German fast-food restaurant chain specialising in seafood. In addition to selling raw and smoked seafood, the company also sells a wide variety of meals and products prepared from seafood such as Fischbrötchen (fish sandwiches), salads, and canned seafood. The company formerly supplied its own seafood but has since sold the fishery. History Nordsee was founded in 1896 as "German steam-fishery company Nordsee" () to supply seafood from the North Sea to the residents of Bremen. Munich U-Bahn
The Munich U-Bahn (german: U-Bahn München) is an electric rail rapid transit network in Munich, Germany. The system began operation in 1971, and is operated by the municipally owned Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG; Munich Transport Company). The network is integrated into the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV; Munich Transport and Tariff Association) and interconnected with the Munich S-Bahn. Messestadt-West (Munich U-Bahn)
Messestadt-West is a Munich U-Bahn station on line U2. Overview The station was opened on 29 May 1999 and is situated in the Messestadt Riem of which he covers the western part. It is situated below the Willy-Brandt-Allee. There are 9 light domes in the middle of the road. The walls and the ceiling are made of light red colored concrete. The station is illuminated by 2 rows of neon tubes, the light domes and by the mezzanine. The floor is covered by granite slabs and thus reflects the light. Bundesautobahn 94
is an autobahn in southern Germany. When completed, it will connect Munich with Passau. Currently, only the parts Munich- Burghausen, and a small section in Malching have been built. Between Burghausen and Simbach am Inn, there is a 14 kilometer, two-lane section that is signed as Bundesstraße 12. Provisions for an upgrade to A 94 exist here. The route between Forstinning and Heldenstein was the subject of a decades-long debate. History In the original plans for the A 94, the section between Simbach and Passau was not planned. Instead, the A 94 was supposed to cross the Inn to the Austrian border, at which point it would continue through the Innviertel to Ried im Innkreis and connect to the Austrian A 8 towards Vienna. Motel One
Motel One is a German low-budget hotel chain headquartered in Munich. It operates properties in eleven European countries as well as one hotel in New York City. Novotel is a French midscale hotel brand owned by Accor. Created in 1967 in France, the company grew into what became the Accor group in 1983, and Novotel remained a pillar brand of Accor's multi-brand strategy.
