Rick Vanderhook
Richard Dean Vanderhook (born May 13, 1961) is a former American baseball coach and infielder. He played college baseball at Cerritos College for head coach George Horton from 1982 to 1983 prior to transferring to Cal State Fullerton where he played for head coach Augie Garrido from 1983 to 1984. Vanderhook helped Cal State Fullerton's 1984 national championship team. Following his playing career, Vanderhook became an assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton from 1985–1988, Cal State Northridge Matadors from 1989–1990, Cal State Fullerton again from 1991–2007, and UCLA Bruins The UCLA Bruins are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Los Angeles. 2017 Cal State Fullerton Titans Baseball Team
The 2017 Cal State Fullerton Titans baseball team represented California State University, Fullerton in the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Titans played their home games at Goodwin Field and were members of the Big West Conference. The team was coached by Rick Vanderhook in his 6th season at Cal State Fullerton. 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2016 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, June 3, 2016, as part of the 2016 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64-team, double-elimination tournament concluded with the 2016 College World Series (CWS) in Omaha, Nebraska, starting on June 18, 2016, and ending on June 30, 2016. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected out of 298 eligible teams. Thirty-one teams were awarded an automatic bid, as champions of their conferences; the remaining 33 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. Teams were divided into sixteen regionals of four teams, which conducted a double-elimination tournament. The 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, May 30, 2014 as part of the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64 team double elimination tournament concluded with the 2014 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which started on June 14, 2014, and ended on June 25, 2014 with the Vanderbilt Commodores upsetting the 3rd seed Virginia Cavaliers 3–2 in the decisive Game 3.
