Rick Rembielak
Richard A. Rembielak is an American college baseball coach, who most recently served as the head coach of the Akron Zips from the 2012 through the 2015 season. As of the end of the 2014 season, his career head coaching record is 574–490–1. Playing career Rembielak played college baseball at Miami (OH) from 1979 to 1981. He was drafted in the 1981 Major League Baseball Draft by the Baltimore Orioles and played five seasons of minor league baseball in the Orioles and Chicago Cubs organizations. Coaching career He served as the head baseball coach at Kent State of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) from 1994 to 2004, and he had a 373–251–1 (.597) record. This included a 200–100 (.667) record against MAC opponents. He won four regular season MAC championships and three MAC tournament titles. Wake Forest University
Wake Forest University is a private research university in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Tom Walter
Tom Walter is an American college baseball coach. He has been the head coach of Wake Forest since the start of the 2010 season. Before coming to Wake Forest, Walter held head coaching positions at George Washington from 1997–2004 and New Orleans from 2005–2009. He was an assistant at George Washington from 1992–1994. Walter's career head coaching record, as of the end of the 2014 season, is 560–473. Outside NCAA baseball, Walter served as the assistant general manager of the minor league Greensboro Bats from 1995–1996. 2007 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2007 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was held from June 1 to 24, . Sixty-four NCAA Division I college baseball teams advanced to the post season tournament after having played through a regular season, and for some, a conference tournament. The 2007 tournament culminated with 8 teams advancing to the College World Series at historic Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 15. Unseeded Oregon State repeated as national champions, winning all five of its games in the 2007 CWS. Oregon State went undefeated through the College World Series, posting a 5–0 record. The Beavers, led by head coach Pat Casey, won all three games in their four-team bracket and then defeated North Carolina in two games in the best-of-three championship series. North Carolina Tar Heels Baseball
The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team, commonly referred to as Carolina, represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in NCAA Division I college baseball. They compete in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels play their home games on campus at Boshamer Stadium, and are currently coached by Scott Forbes. History The program's first recorded game took place in 1867, when the Tar Heels defeated a Raleigh all-star team, 34-17. Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament
The Mid-American Conference baseball tournament is the conference baseball championship of the Mid-American Conference, Division I members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Since 2022, the top four finishers participate in the double-elimination tournament, which is played at the home field of the top seed. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The tournament began in 1981, but was not held from 1984 through 1991. It returned in 1992 and was held annually through 2019. It was scheduled to be played in May 2020, but was cancelled in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I collegiate athletic conference with a membership base in the Great Lakes region that stretches from Western New York to Illinois.
