Rick Glassman
Rick Glassman (born July 23, 1984) is an American actor and comedian. Glassman starred in the role of Burski on the NBC sitcom ''Undateable'' and wrote, directed and starred in the NBC-produced web series spin-off ''The Sixth Lead''. He played the role of Harold Ramis in the film ''A Futile and Stupid Gesture'', a biopic about the '' National Lampoon'', and starred in the Amazon Prime Video comedy drama series '' As We See It''. Early life Glassman was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, and grew up in the suburb of Orange. Shaker Heights is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 Census, the city population was 29,439. Shaker Heights is an inner-ring streetcar suburb of Cleveland, abutting the eastern edge of the city's limits. In July 1911, a petition by property owners was successful in detaching a long strip of land from the south of Cleveland Heights, to be named Shaker Village. Orange High School (OHS) is a public high school located in Pepper Pike, Ohio, United States, an eastern suburb in the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area of Northeast Ohio. The Comedy Store
The Comedy Store is an American comedy club opened in April 1972. It is located in West Hollywood, California, at 8433 Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip. An associated club is located in La Jolla, San Diego, California. History The Comedy Store was opened in April 1972 by comedians Sammy Shore (1927–2019), and Rudy De Luca. The building was formerly the home of Club Seville (1935), later, Ciro's (1940–1957), a popular Hollywood nightclub owned by William Wilkerson, and later Ciro's Le Disc, a rock and roll venue, where The Byrds were discovered in 1964. When the venue reopened as The Comedy Store in 1972, it included a 99-seat theatre. Stand-up comedy is a comedic performance to a live audience in which the performer addresses the audience directly from the stage. The performer is known as a comedian, a comic or a stand-up. Stand-up comedy consists of one-liners, stories, observations or a shtick that may incorporate props, music, magic tricks or ventriloquism. It can be performed almost anywhere, including comedy clubs, comedy festivals, bars, nightclubs, colleges or theatres. History Stand-up as a Western art form has its roots in the stump speech of American minstrel shows, which featured an actor in blackface delivering nonsensical monologue to the audience. The Improv
The Improv is a comedy club franchise. It was founded as a single venue in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City in 1963, and expanded into a chain of venues in the late 1970s.
