Aaron Richmond
Aaron Richmond (October 28, 1895, in Salem, Massachusetts – April 21, 1965, in Boston, Massachusetts) was an American performing arts manager, pianist, impresario, and educator, based in Boston, Massachusetts, who managed the careers of numerous classical musicians and founded Celebrity Series of Boston, a performing arts presenting organization that still operates today. Early years Aaron Richmond was born in 1895 in Salem, Massachusetts, where he had his formal education. After graduating from high school, he intensified his musical training with the goal of becoming a concert pianist. The following was noted in a brief Boston Globe review of a 1919 performance in which Richmond accompanied baritone Giovanni Petrucci at Boston's Steinert Hall, "Mr. Petrucci was assisted by Aaron Richmond, who played his accompaniments and a group of piano pieces." Deon Richmond (born April 2, 1978) is an American actor from New York City who is best known for his recurring roles as Rudy Huxtable's friend Kenny (nicknamed "Bud") on the NBC sitcom ''The Cosby Show'' and Jordan Bennett on the ABC/The WB sitcom '' Sister, Sister.'' Howard Spencer Richmond (18 January 1918 — 20 May 2012) was an American music publisher and music industry executive. He established The Richmond Organization, Inc. (TRO), one of the largest independent music publishing organizations in the world, and had a hand in commercializing and promoting many pop, folk and rock songs since the 1940s. Life and career Richmond was born in Queens, New York. He attended the Loomis Chaffee School from 1931 to 1935, graduating in 1935, and thereafter, the University of Pennsylvania. Hiram Lawton Richmond
Hiram Lawton Richmond (May 17, 1810 – February 19, 1885) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Hiram L. Richmond was born in Chautauqua, New York. He received his early education from a private instructor and in the common schools. He studied medicine two years with his father. He attended Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, in 1834 and 1835 but did not graduate. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1838 and commenced the practice of law in Meadville. In early manhood was a staunch Whig but united with the Republican Party upon its organization. Richmond was elected as a Republican to the Forty-third Congress. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1874. He served as a member of the board of trustees of Allegheny College for many years. He resumed the practice of law, and died in Meadville in 1885. Admiral Sir Herbert William Richmond, (15 September 1871 – 15 December 1946) was a prominent Royal Navy officer, described as "perhaps the most brilliant naval officer of his generation." He was also a top naval historian, known as the "British Mahan", the leader of the British Royal Navy's intellectual revolution that stressed continuing education especially in naval history as essential to the formation of naval strategy. Henry Robert Richmond (June 1829 – 7 December 1890) was a 19th-century New Zealand politician and farmer. He was Superintendent of Taranaki Province from 1865 to 1869. Biography Born in London, England, in June 1869, Richmond was the brother of James Crowe Richmond, Jane Maria Atkinson and William Richmond. They were part of the Richmond-Atkinson family of Taranaki who were all related by marriage. Henry Richmond was educated at University College School, and then at University College London where he studied mathematics and chemistry. Richmond emigrated to New Zealand in 1851 with his brother, James. Richmond married Mary Blanche Hursthouse (1840–1864) in 1858, and then Emma Jane Parris (1845–1921) in 1868. Francis Henry Arthur Richmond (6 January 1936 – 16 March 2017) was the third Bishop of Repton from 1985 to 1999; and from then on, in retirement, an honorary assistant bishop within the Diocese of Oxford. Richmond was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. Graeme Richmond
Graeme Richmond (1934 – 15 September 1991) was a long time administrator of the Richmond Football Club. Recruited from Geelong College, he played mainly as a defender in Richmond's Thirds from 1951 to 1953. He captained this side and won its Best & Fairest in 1952. He also played 13 games for the Richmond Seconds side in 1952 and 1953. His playing career ended with a serious knee injury but he went on to coach the Richmond Under 17s in 1960 and Under 19s in 1961 and 1962. He served as Club Secretary from 1962 until 1968, then as Club Treasurer from 1968 to 1969. He was a member of the Richmond Football Club Committee from 1970 through to 1986 and was Vice-President from 1979 until 1983. George Richmond (painter)
George Richmond (28 March 1809 – 19 March 1896) was an English painter and portraitist. In his youth he was a member of The Ancients, a group of followers of William Blake. Later in life he established a career as a portrait painter, which included painting the portraits of the British gentry, nobility and royalty. He was the son of Thomas Richmond, miniature-painter, and was the father of the painter William Blake Richmond as well as the grandfather of the naval historian, Admiral Sir Herbert Richmond. John B. "Fritz" Richmond (July 10, 1939 – November 20, 2005) was an American musician and recording engineer. Richmond was a washtub bassist and was also a professional jug player. Richmond, born in Newton, Massachusetts on July 10, 1939, was a founding member of The Hoppers, a school-chum jug band that played the coffeehouse circuit in the Boston area. Jug band music featured homemade or folk-style instruments such as the washboard (used for percussion), a large earthenware jug used as a wind instrument, and a single-string upright bass fashioned from a broomstick or similar handle, using a steel washtub as a resonator, with the player moving the handle in order to vary the tension on the string and thus vary the pitch of the note created by plucking. Frederick William Richmond (November 15, 1923 – December 28, 2019) was an American politician who served as a Democratic four-term member of the United States House of Representatives from New York from 1975 to 1982.
