Richie Hawtin
Richard "Richie" Hawtin (born June 4, 1970) is a British-Canadian electronic musician and DJ. He became involved with Detroit techno's second wave in the early 1990s, and has been a leading exponent of minimal techno since the mid-1990s. He became known for his recordings under the Plastikman and F.U.S.E. aliases. Under the latter, he released his debut album ''Dimension Intrusion'' (1993) as part of Warp's Artificial Intelligence series. In May 1990, Hawtin and John Acquaviva founded the Plus 8 record label, which they named after their turntable's pitch adjust function. In 1998, Hawtin launched M-nus Records. From 2012-2015, Hawtin held the ENTER. Ibiza weekly party at Space in Ibiza. In 2016, Hawtin launched his own technology company called PLAYdifferently, and released the MODEL 1 mixer, co-designed with Andy Rigby-Jones. John Acquaviva
John Acquaviva (born 1963) is an Italian Canadian DJ, producer, artist, and musical entrepreneur. Music career Acquaviva began his career in Detroit where he performed under the name of J'acquaviva+8. He met fellow DJ Richie Hawtin at The Shelter, and the two tried unsuccessfully to catch the attention of labels like Transmat. In 1989, Acquaviva and Hawtin founded what would become one of the world's best known and influential techno labels, Plus 8 Records. The founding of Plus 8 Records put John Acquaviva and Richie Hawtin at the vanguard of the emerging international electronic music movement and DJ culture. ''Sheet One'' is the second studio album by Canadian electronic music producer Richie Hawtin, and his debut studio album under the alias Plastikman. It was released in 1993 by Novamute Records. Artwork The front inlay of ''Sheet One'' was perforated, giving it the look of a wall of LSD tabs. "Spastik" is an instrumental track by British people, British-Canadian people, Canadian Electronic musician, electronic musician and DJ Richie Hawtin, under his alias Plastikman. It was released on 4 october 1993 in Canada. It is his most well-known production and considered a classic in Techno music, techno. It is the first single from his ''Recycled Plastik'' Extended play, EP. Background "Spastik" is based on a nine-minute whirlwind of Roland TR-808 percussion. Hawtin often made it a centerpiece of his live performances. Kenny Larkin
Kenny Larkin (who also releases as Dark Comedy) is an American techno producer from Detroit. He has been described by AllMusic as "massively influential" on American, British, and German techno. Larkin was born in 1968 and raised in Detroit, but did not participate in the early years of Detroit techno because he was serving in the military. Upon his return, he began producing, influenced by Juan Atkins and Derrick May, as well as the Chicago house music scene. Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music band founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. The group has seen many personnel changes over the years, with Froese having been the only constant member until his death in January 2015.
