Richie George
Richard George (born 18 December 1989) is a former English professional darts player. He was born in Essex and is the son of former world championship finalist Bobby George. They became the first father-and-son duo to play in the BDO version of the World Championship, when Richie played in the 2013 event. Darting career Richie played darts as a junior, but then left the game. He qualified for the televised stages of the 2012 Winmau World Masters, but lost to Thomas Junghans 3–1 in the last 32. George qualified for the 2013 BDO World Championship as the 15th seed. He played Dave Prins in the first round, and survived seven match darts en route to a 3-2 win. He then beat Jimmy Hendriks 4-2 in the second round, and recovered from 3-1 down against Jan Dekker to win 5-4 and reach the semi-finals, where he was beaten 6-1 by Scott Waites. Jan Dekker
Jan Dekker (born 25 June 1990) is a former Dutch professional darts player. He twice reached the semi-finals of the BDO World Darts Championship, in 2011 and 2014. Career Dekker qualified for the televised stages of the 2010 Winmau World Masters. He played eventual champion Martin Adams in the last 16, and was beaten 2–3 after Adams won a sudden-death leg. He also qualified for the 2011 BDO World Darts Championship. He defeated 15th seed Scott Mitchell 3–0 in the first round, and 2nd seed Stuart Kellett 4–1 in the second round. He then beat tenth seed Garry Thompson 5–4 in the quarter-finals, having trailed 3–0 and 4–2 and seeing Thompson miss nine darts at doubles to win the match himself. Robbie Green (born 19 July 1974) is a former English professional darts player. His nickname was Kong. PDC career Green made his televised debut at the 2004 UK Open, reaching the last 64 stage. The same year he qualified for the World Matchplay in Blackpool Losing in the first round to Bob Anderson. In the 2006 UK Open, he reached the quarter-finals, beating Jamie Harvey, Chris Mason, Mark Walsh and Terry Jenkins along the way. He was eventually beaten by John MaGowan. The 2014 Singha Beer Grand Slam of Darts, was the eighth staging of the tournament, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event took place from 8–16 November 2014 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, England. Phil Taylor was the defending champion and won the title for the a sixth and final time by defeating Dave Chisnall 16–13 in the final. In his quarter-final victory over Michael van Gerwen, Belgian player Kim Huybrechts threw a nine-dart finish, only the second in the event's history, and the first ever nine-darter on TV by a Belgian player. Ronny Huybrechts (born 20 July 1965) is a former Belgian professional darts player. Career Ronny and his brother Kim Huybrechts became the first brothers to play in the World Cup of Darts in February 2013 and advanced from Group H courtesy of a 5–0 win over Hungary. They then pulled off a shock by defeating the Australian pairing of Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson, who were the runners up in the event last year, 5–1 with a combined average of 101.08 and then beat Croatia in the quarter-finals, with Ronny defeating Robert Marijanović 4–1 in his singles match. Christian Kist (born 21 April 1986) is a Dutch professional darts player. In 2012, he won the BDO World Darts Championship, defeating Tony O'Shea in the final. Since 2014, he has competed in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Career BDO Kist reached the last 16 of the 2011 World Masters, where he lost 2-3 against Tony West in a deciding leg having had five darts to win. Adrian Lewis (born 21 January 1985) is an English professional darts player currently playing in the PDC. He is a two-time PDC World Darts Champion, winning in 2011 and 2012. He is nicknamed Jackpot, as he won a jackpot gambling in Las Vegas in 2005, but he was unable to collect the money as he was 20 years old, below the US legal gambling age of 21. During the early part of his career until 2007, Lewis was a protégé of 16-time world champion Phil Taylor, with whom he practised in their home city Stoke-on-Trent. The 2013 William Hill Grand Slam of Darts, was the seventh staging of the tournament, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event took place from 9–17 November 2013 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, England. Raymond van Barneveld was the defending champion, but he was eliminated in the group stage. The semi-final match between Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis proved to be the highest quality in darts history as the players averaged 109.76 and 110.99 respectively, the highest combined average ever recorded. The PDC record of 31 maximums set in the 2007 World Championship final was broken as 32 were made in this match in 32 fewer legs. Scott Waites
Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event. Career Waites' first career success came in February 2007 when he won the Dutch Open an event which attracted 2867 entries.
