Dick White
Sir Dick Goldsmith White, (20 December 1906 – 21 February 1993) was a British intelligence officer. He was Director General (DG) of MI5 from 1953 to 1956, and Head of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) from 1956 to 1968. Early life White was born in Tonbridge, Kent, the son of an ironmonger Percy Hall White and Gertrude Farthing and went to school at Bishop's Stortford College. He took a First Class Degree in History at Christ Church, Oxford in 1927, and learnt to speak German. He was athletic in his youth and obtained a blue in running at Oxford. He was described by Peter Wright as resembling David Niven: "the same perfect English manners, easy charm, and immaculate dress sense." He was, said Wright, "tall with lean, healthy features and a sharp eye". He would qualify for a Commonwealth Fellowship in 1928 which saw him seek further education in the United States at the University of Michigan and California. The Vermilion County bombings were a series of three bombings in the towns of Danville and Oakwood, Illinois that killed at two people and injured 34. The bombings were committed by Richard Dean White, an Army veteran and member of the Danville church he targeted in the second bombing. Richard Gwyn
Richard Gwyn (ca. 1537 – 15 October 1584), also known by his anglicised name, Richard White, was a Welsh teacher at illegal and underground schools and a Bard who wrote both Christian and satirical poetry in the Welsh language. A Roman Catholic during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I of England, Gwyn was martyred by being hanged, drawn and quartered for high treason at Wrexham in 1584. He was canonised by Pope Paul VI in 1970 as one of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales. Since its creation in 1987, St. Richard Gwyn has been the Patron Saint of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wrexham. Along with fellow lay martyr St. Margaret Clitherow, Gwyn is the co-patron of the Latin Mass Society of England and Wales.

Richard "Von" White is an abstract expressionist artist. Born Richard Elis Blair White, on the island of Jamaica in 1951, to a family of prominent businessmen and founders of the town Oracabessa. "Von" is the stage name of Richard White, an artist who specialises in pastel tropical scenes inspired by nature and the female form. Richard "Von" White studied at the Jamaica College of Art, then went on to study at Goldsmiths College of Art in London, under the tutelage of Professor Harry Thubron. Graduating with honours from Goldsmiths, Von went on to develop his own style of abstraction, with a keystone on the masters that have gone before – particularly Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin and Georgia O'Keeffe. The Foster/White Gallery is an art gallery in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It was started as the Richard White Gallery in 1968 in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. History Richard White started the Richard White Gallery at 311½ Occidental Street, in the Pioneer Square district of Seattle, in 1968. In 1973, he sold it to Donald Foster, who renamed it the Foster/White Gallery. Foster sold it in December 2002 to the Huang family, owners of the Bau-Xi Gallery in Vancouver, British Columbia. In April 2006 it moved to a renovated building at 220 3rd Avenue South, a few blocks from its original location. It earlier had other premises in Kirkland, Rainier Square, and Pioneer Square. Richard White (born 1947) is an American historian, two-time winner of the Francis Parkman Prize, past President of the Organization of American Historians, and the author of books about the American West, Native American history, the United States in the Gilded Age, railroads, capitalism, and environmental history. He is the Margaret Byrne Professor of American History Emeritus at Stanford University. Earlier in his career, he taught at the University of Washington, University of Utah, and Michigan State University. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Washington. White was founding director of Stanford'Spatial History Project which implements digital technologies and analyses to illuminate patterns and anomalies for research purposes.
