Richard Wells (Royal Navy Officer)
Admiral Sir Richard Wells (3 February 1833 – 9 October 1896) was a Royal Navy officer who went on to be Commander-in-Chief, The Nore. Naval career Wells joined the Royal Navy in 1847 and served in the Crimean War in 1855. He was on board HMS ''Bombay'' when she was accidentally burned in 1864 with the loss of 91 lives off Montevideo. Promoted to Captain in 1866, he commanded HMS ''Revenge'', HMS ''Royal Alfred'', HMS ''Bellerophon'' and then HMS '' Agincourt''. Sir Richard Wells, 1st Baronet
Sir Sydney Richard Wells, 1st Baronet, DL (3 August 1879 – 16 November 1957) was a British baronet, the first of the Wells baronets of Felmersham, and a Conservative Party politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bedford from 1922 to 1945. Biography Born on 3 August 1879, the son of Charles Wells (1842–1914), founder of the brewery company Charles Wells Ltd, Sir Richard Wells was educated at Bedford School. He was Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Bedford, between 1922 and 1945, and the first of the Wells baronets of Felmersham, created on 21 January 1944. Wells died on 26 November 1957 and was succeeded as Baronet by his son, Sir Charles Maltby Wells, 2nd Baronet (1908–96). Malcolm William James Richard Wells, (19 June 1941 – 6 January 1993), commonly known as Richard J. Wells, was a British nurse, nursing adviser and health care administrator. Wells was born in South Africa during the Second World War. His career in nursing was largely based at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where he held various positions, including Director of the Marie Curie Rehabilitation Centre. He served as a consultant to a host of organizations, including the World Health Organization, the International Union Against Cancer, the International Council of Nurses and the European Oncology Society. As Oncology Nursing Adviser at the Royal College of Nursing, Wells helped shape the nursing response to HIV infection and AIDS in the UK. Richard Wells (composer)
Richard Wells is a British film, TV and games composer. Wells began his composing career writing music for computer games in 1994, after meeting games composer Dave Punshon. He met horror film director Jake West in 1997 whilst working on computer game ''MIA''. This led to him starting a career in film in 1998, scoring for West's first film ''Razor Blade Smile'', an extremely low-budget film. Since then, Wells has worked on two more films with Jake West: '' Evil Aliens'' and ''Doghouse''. In 2002, Wells began to score music for film trailers. He has now composed for over 50 film trailers including ''The Grudge'', ''Infernal Affairs'', and ''Seven Swords''. Richard Raymond Collingwood Wells (born 19 January 1956) is a Rhodesian-born English former first-class cricketer. Wells was born in Southern Rhodesia at Salisbury in January 1956. He was educated in England at Cranleigh School, before going up to Christ Church, Oxford.
