Richard Walter (writer)
Richard Walter is an American author, educator, screenwriter, commentator, consultant, and chairman of the University of California, Los Angeles graduate program in screenwriting. He has written several works, including the ''Essentials of Screenwriting'', published in June 2010, ttp://www.screenplay.com/t-RWalter_Interview.aspx/ ''Screenplay.com'' interview/ref> and the novels ''Escape from Film School'' and ''Barry and the Persuasions''. His sister was actress Jessica Walter. He is married to Patricia Sandgrund, with whom he has two children. Author
An author is the writer of a book, article, play, mostly written work. A broader definition of the word "author" states: "''An author is "the person who originated or gave existence to anything" and whose authorship determines responsibility for what was created''."
