Richard Alan Snell (December 19, 1955 – February 21, 2006) was an American make-up artist. Known as a master of prosthetic makeup, he won two Primetime Emmy Awards and received an Academy Award nomination. The 57th Primetime Emmy Awards were held on Sunday, September 18, 2005 and was hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. The ceremony was broadcast on CBS. BBC America received its first major nomination this year.
