Richard Rider
Nova (Richard Rider) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character appeared historically as the star of his own series, and at other times, as a supporting character in team books such as '' The New Warriors''. He is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, for which he gained superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, flight and resistance to injury. Publication history The character was created in 1966 by writer Marv Wolfman in issue #3 of his fanzine, ''Super Adventures''. Then known as The Star, he was an alien doctor named Denteen who found a spaceship containing pills which gave him a different superhuman power every five minutes. Adi Granov
Adi Granov (;) is a Bosnian-American comic book artist and conceptual designer. He is best known for his painted work with Marvel Comics, for whom most of his comics work is produced, in particular his work on Iron Man. He is especially known for illustrating the miniseries '' Iron Man: Extremis'', and for doing concept and keyframe artwork for the 2008 film ''Iron Man'', a job for which director Jon Favreau personally selected him. Granov has also done concept work for the films '' The Avengers'' and ''The Amazing Spider-Man 2'', has designed packaging for the DVDs and toys based on those properties, and has also done design work for video games. Secret Invasion
"Secret Invasion" is a comic book crossover storyline that ran through a self-titled eight-issue limited series and several tie-in books published by Marvel Comics from April through December 2008. The story involves a subversive, long-term invasion of Earth by the Skrulls, a group of alien shapeshifters who have secretly replaced many superheroes in the Marvel Universe with impostors over a period of years, prior to the overt invasion. Marvel's promotional tagline for the event was "Who do you trust?". A six-episode television miniseries based on the storyline and produced by Marvel Studios as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is scheduled to be released in 2023 on Disney+. Conquest
Conquest is the act of military subjugation of an enemy by force of arms. Military history provides many examples of conquest: the Roman conquest of Gaul, the Mauryan conquest of Afghanistan and of vast areas of the Indian subcontinent, the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire and various Arab conquests, all of which were successful in bringing foreign states under the conquerors' control. These conquests provided great wealth, power and prestige for the conquerors, a key motivation in the expenditure of resources required to conquer in the first place. Newsarama is an American website that publishes news, interviews, and essays about the American comic book industry. It is owned by Future US. In June 2020, Newsarama was merged with the website GamesRadar+, also owned by FutureUS. History Newsarama began in mid-1995 as a series of Internet forum postings on the Prodigy comic book message boards by fan Mike Doran. In the forum postings, Doran shared comic book-related news items he had found across the World Wide Web and, as these postings became more regular and read widely, he gave them the title "Prodigy Comic Book Newswire." Comics Bulletin was a daily website covering the American comic-book industry. History Silver Bullet Comicbooks The site was founded in January 2000 as Silver Bullet Comicbooks by its New Zealand-based publisher/editor Jason Brice. During this period, the site made efforts to support retired comics professionals. In a Silver Bullet column called ''Past Masters'', contributor Clifford Meth wrote about his efforts to support ailing comic book artist Dave Cockrum.
