Sir Richard Morrison (or Morison or Morysine) (ca. 1513 – 1556) was an English humanist scholar and diplomat. He was a protégé of Thomas Cromwell, propagandist for Henry VIII of England, Henry VIII, and then ambassador to the German court of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V for Edward VI. Life Richard Morrison was the son of Thomas Morison of Hertfordshire by a daughter of Thomas Merry of Hatfield, Hertfordshire, Hatfield. He had a sister, Amy, who married Stephen Hales (d. 27 March 1574), esquire, of Newland, Warwickshire, brother of John Hales (died 1572), John Hales. Morrison attended Cardinal College, Oxford (now Christ Church) ca. 1526 and met Nicholas Udall, who became the master of Eton College and was known as the father of English comedy. Richard Morrison (born September 1953) is an English designer of film title sequences. He has created over 150 feature film title sequences in a career of more than thirty years. Having studied graphics, photography and film, Morrison's initial career began on the James Bond film series collaborating with an American graphic designer Maurice Binder. He has worked on film openers ever since for film directors including Franc Roddam, Ridley Scott and Jean-Jacques Annaud. His title sequences include films such as ''Batman'', ''Enemy at the Gates'', ''Gandhi'', ''Brazil'' and ''The Killing Fields''. Describing his work in an interview with ''Empire'' (August 2008) Morrison explained: "I look for a nuance, a subliminal energy in a film that I can then work into an idea. Richard Duncan Morrison (born 24 July 1954) is an English music critic who specializes in classical music. As chief music critic of ''The Times'' since 1992, he "has long been admired for his penetrating cultural column". He also writes for the monthly publication ''BBC Music Magazine'' and has previously written for ''Classical Music'', '' The Listener'' and (as deputy editor) the ''Early Music'' journal. In 2004, he published a history of the London Symphony Orchestra entitled ''Orchestra: The LSO: A Century of Triumph and Turbulence''; Charlotte Higgins of ''The Guardian'' described it as "a pungent, immensely readable first book." Richard James Morrison (15 June 1795 – 5 April 1874) was an English astrologer, commonly known by his pen name Zadkiel and best known for the series known as ''Zadkiel's Almanac''. Early life The son of Richard Caleb Morrison, Morrison joined the Royal Navy in 1806 serving as a first class volunteer until 1810, master's mate until 1815 and resigned due to ill-health with the rank of lieutenant in 1829. He then devoted himself to the study of astrology which he termed as astro-meteorology. He became a member of the Meteorological Society's Council in 1840. Career Morrison in 1831 issued ''The Herald of Astrology'', subsequently known as ''Zadkiel's Almanac''. In this annual pamphlet, he published predictions of the chief events of the coming year.
