Richard Menjívar
Richard "Richie" Guillermo Menjivar Peraza (born October 31, 1990) is a Salvadoran international footballer, who plays as a midfielder for Chalatenango. Career After spending his college career at University of Evansville and Cal State Bakersfield, Menjivar spent time with amateur side Cal FC during their dramatic 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run which saw them defeat Kitsap Pumas, Wilmington Hammerheads and Portland Timbers before suffering a 5-0 defeat to Seattle Sounders FC in the Round of 16. On 8 February 2013, Menjivar joined the Atlanta Silverbacks of the NASL, helping the team win the 2013 Spring Championship. At the end of the entire season, he was awarded a spot on the league's 2013 best XI. In February 2014, after trialing with the Portland Timbers, he signed with the San Antonio Scorpions. The University of Evansville (UE) is a private university in Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1854 as Moores Hill College. The 2014 Copa Centroamericana (also known as the Central American Cup Tigo 2014 USA for sponsorship reasons) was the 13th Copa Centroamericana, the regional championship for men's national association football teams in Central America. It was organized by the ''Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol'' or UNCAF, and took place in the United States. Overview In January 2013, UNCAF tentatively announced that the competition would be hosted in the United States, specifically California and Texas. Eduardo Li, the President of the Costa Rican FA and Vice-President of UNCAF said that the competition is to celebrate 25 years of UNCAF. Cotton Bowl (stadium)
The Cotton Bowl is an outdoor stadium in Dallas, Texas, United States. Opened in 1930 as Fair Park Stadium, it is on the site of the State Fair of Texas, known as Fair Park. The Cotton Bowl was the longtime home of the annual college football post-season bowl game known as the Cotton Bowl Classic, for which the stadium is named. 2013 Copa Centroamericana
The 2013 Copa Centroamericana was the 12th Copa Centroamericana, the regional championship for men's national association football teams in Central America. It was organized by the ''Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol'' or UNCAF, and took place in Costa Rica from 18 January to 27 January 2013. The top five teams go on to participate in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The tournament consisted of two stages. In the group stage of the tournament finals, the seven teams competed for points in two round-robin groups, one of four teams and the other of three, with the top two teams in each group proceeding. These four teams advanced to the semi-final stage, with the winners advancing to the final, while the losers contested a third-place match. Brad Rusin
Bradford Evan Rusin (born September 5, 1986) is an American retired professional soccer player. He appeared for Bradenton Academics, Ventura County Fusion, and San Fernando Valley Quakes at the semi-professional level, and for Carolina RailHawks, HB Køge, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Orlando City, Tampa Bay Rowdies, San Antonio Scorpions, Miami FC, and Indy Eleven at the professional level. College and amateur Rusin grew up in Indiana and moved to Holmes Beach, Florida in 2002. There, he attended St. Stephen's Preparatory School, where he was a 2005 EA Sports All-American. He attended the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Florida from 2002 to 2005, winning the 2005 U-19 Dallas Cup, before playing college soccer at UCLA. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. The Sounders compete as a member of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established on November 13, 2007, and began play in 2009 as an MLS expansion team. Wilmington Hammerheads
Wilmington Hammerheads FC was a semi-professional American soccer team based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Founded in 1996, the team last competed in the Premier Development League, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2017. History The Hammerheads had one championship in 2003, and were a finalist in 2002 and 2012, losing to the Long Island Rough Riders 2–1 in 2002 and losing 0–1 to the Charleston Battery in 2012.
