Richard Macaulay
Richard Macaulay (1909–1969) was an American screenwriter. He wrote a number of films with Jerry Wald while under contract to Warner Bros. He was a noted anti-Communist and was a member of the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals. He testified to Congress in 1947 and gave names of writers in the Writers Guild who he believed were communists. He was survived by a wife and two daughters. Dick Powell plays a sporting goods salesman who is forced to pose as a famous horseman as part of his scheme to boost sales and gets entangled in his lies. The tropics are the regions of Earth surrounding the Equator. They are defined in latitude by the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere at N and the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere at S. The tropics are also referred to as the tropical zone and the torrid zone (see geographical zone).
