Richard Laxton
Richard Laxton (born 5 July 1967 in London) is a British film director Career Richard Laxton started his career with the short film '' I Bet It Will Rain'' in 1992. Initially he mainly worked for TV production, and was nominated for British Academy Film Awards for several of his TV episodes. In 2006 he made his first feature film ''Life and Lyrics''. His next feature films were '' Grow Your Own'' in 2007, ''An Englishman in New York'' in 2009 and ''Effie Gray'' in 2012. His last production for TV were the twelve episodes of the series ''Him & Her'' in 2011. In 2013 he realised a biographical film entitled ''Effie Gray''. I Bet It Will Rain
I, or i, is the ninth letter and the third vowel letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is ''i'' (pronounced ), plural '' ies''. History In the Phoenician alphabet, the letter may have originated in a hieroglyph for an arm that represented a voiced pharyngeal fricative () in Egyptian, but was reassigned to (as in English "yes") by Semites, because their word for "arm" began with that sound. This letter could also be used to represent , the close front unrounded vowel, mainly in foreign words. The Greeks adopted a form of this Phoenician ''yodh'' as their letter ''iota'' () to represent , the same as in the Old Italic alphabet. In Latin (as in Modern Greek), it was also used to represent and this use persists in the languages that descended from Latin. Life Support (1999 TV Series)
''Life Support'' is a British television medical drama series, written and devised by Ashley Pharoah, that first broadcast on BBC One, BBC1 on 19 July 1999. Produced by BBC Scotland, the series follows the work of clinical ethicist Katherine Doone (Aisling O'Sullivan) and her colleagues based at Glasgow's Caledonian hospital. Just a single series of six episodes were broadcast, with the final episode broadcasting on 23 August 1999. The series was directed by Richard Laxton and Morag Fullerton, while Matthew Hall (writer), Matthew Hall, Peter Hall and Andrea Earl contributed scripts. Art Malik, Richard Wilson (Scottish actor), Richard Wilson, Gilbert Martin and Julie Graham are also credited as principal members of the cast.
