Richard Frederick Davis (born 14 November 1943) is an English retired Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Full-back, full-back for various clubs in the 1960s. Football career Plymouth Argyle Davis was born in Plymouth, Devon and joined his local club, Plymouth Argyle F.C., Plymouth Argyle as a trainee in August 1960, going on to sign as a professional a year later on his 18th birthday. Described as "a strongly built left-back", Davis made his first-team debut in a 3–2 defeat at Derby County F.C., Derby County on 20 Mar 1963. In his second match, Davis came up against Stanley Matthews of Stoke City F.C., Stoke City, going down to another defeat. Despite being on the losing side in both his opening matches, Davis retained his place for the rest of the season. Plymouth
Plymouth () is a port city and unitary authority in South West England. It is located on the south coast of Devon, approximately south-west of Exeter and south-west of London. Non-League football describes football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs). Currently, a non-League team would be any club playing in the National League or below that level. Michael Trebilcock (born 29 November 1944) is an English retired professional footballer. He played primarily as a winger and is most famous for scoring twice in the 1966 FA Cup Final for Everton, becoming the first black player to score in an FA Cup Final. Trebilcock is described as a "black mixed heritage player" by sociologist Mark Christian, who notes that the label of first black Everton player is often wrongly given to Cliff Marshall, "due to rebilcock'sambiguous black mixed heritage". The Dell in Milton Road, Southampton, Hampshire, England was the home ground of Southampton F.C. between 1898 and 2001. Bryce Fulton (born 7 August 1935) was a Scottish footballer who played as a full back. He made 213 appearances in the Football League for Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City. He also played for Manchester United. Life and career Fulton was born in Kilwinning. He joined Manchester United in 1953, where he played regularly for the club's reserve team but did not make a first team appearance. Fulton was transferred to Plymouth Argyle in 1957 and made 193 appearances in all competitions over the next seven years, including 14 in the 1958–59 season when Argyle won the Football League Third Division.
