Richard Bekins
Richard Bekins (born July 17, 1954) is an American actor in theater, film, and television. One of his earliest roles was as Jamie Frame in the daytime soap opera '' Another World'' (1979–1983). He has made numerous guest appearances on television series such as on CBS's ''Bull'', ''Person of Interest'', ''Elementary'', '' Madam Secretary'' and ''The Good Wife''. On NBC, he has appeared ''Law & Order'', '' Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'', and ''The Blacklist''. Other television appearances include ''Mad Men'', '' Daredevil'', '' Madoff'', '' The Path'', ''Designated Survivor'', ''Boardwalk Empire'', ''Mr. Robot'', and '' Younger''. ''The Normal Heart'' is a largely autobiographical play by Larry Kramer. It focuses on the rise of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in New York City between 1981 and 1984, as seen through the eyes of writer/activist Ned Weeks, the gay founder of a prominent HIV advocacy group. The play's title comes from W.H. Auden's "September 1, 1939". After a successful 1985 Off-Broadway production at The Public Theater, the play was staged in Los Angeles and London. It was revived Off-Broadway in 2004, and finally made its Broadway debut in 2011.
