Ricardo Álvarez (footballer, Born 1897)
Ricardo Álvarez Lobo (Madrid, 7 July 1897 - Madrid, 21 February 1955) was a Spanish footballer who usually played as a left winger. The highlight of his career was scoring the winning goal of the 1917 Copa del Rey Final for Madrid FC in extra-time. Club career Born in Madrid, he began his career at his hometown club Racing de Madrid in 1914, aged 17, where he played as a midfielder. He played a pivotal role in helping the club win the 1914–15 Centro Championship, along with Joaquín Pascual, Ezequiel Montero, Antonio De Miguel, and Feliciano Rey, with the latter two also being his teammates at Madrid FC. After two great seasons at Racing, he was signed by Madrid FC. In the two seasons he spent at the club, he won two Centro Championships and reached two Copa del Rey finals in 1917 and 1918, starting in both of them and scoring the winning goal in the extra-time of the former against Arenas de Getxo in a 2–1 win. Ricardo Álvarez (Mexican Footballer)
Ricardo "La Changa" Álvarez (1911-1986) was a Mexican former Primera División (First Division) player who started his career playing in the amateur league in the 1930s with club Moctezuma de Orizaba. He later transferred to Puebla FC where he played 120 games over 5 years and scored 87 goals, and is remembered as a club icon. In 1950 he left to play for Veracruz where he played for a couple months before retiring. He scored 113 goals in his career. Ricardo Álvarez Puig (born 11 September 1984), known as Richy, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Celta / Córdoba Born in Vigo, Galicia, Richy began his career at hometown club RC Celta de Vigo, playing almost exclusively for their reserves in Segunda División B. His lone appearance for the first team was on 26 August 2007 on the first day of the Segunda División season, playing the entirety of a 1–1 home draw against Córdoba CF in which he featured as a right back, and being notified of this by manager Hristo Stoichkov one hour before kick-off. On 14 July 2009, after helping Celta B to fifth place, Richy signed a one-year contract at Córdoba. Ricardo "Ricky" Gabriel Álvarez (; born 12 April 1988) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Álvarez retired from football at the end of 2021. Álvarez began his club career in Argentina in 2008 with Vélez Sársfield. His performances earned him a move to Italian club Internazionale in 2011, where he remained until 2015. He joined English side Sunderland on-loan during the 2014–15 season, a move which was to become permanent should Sunderland retain their place in the Premier League for the following season. The deal ended in a legal dispute with Inter over the contract with the Court of Arbitration for Sport later ruling in Inter's favour. He returned to Italy, joining Sampdoria as a free agent in 2016.
