Ricardo Sousa
Ricardo André de Pinho Sousa (born 11 January 1979) is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as an attacking midfielder. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 154 matches and 47 goals over seven seasons, representing in the competition Porto, Beira-Mar, Santa Clara, Belenenses and Boavista. He scored the only goal of the 1999 Taça de Portugal final for Beira-Mar, and also competed professionally in Germany, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Slovenia. Sousa began coaching in 2015, leading clubs including Beira-Mar and taking Mafra to the cup semi-finals in 2022. Playing career Club Sousa was born in São João da Madeira. São João Da Madeira
São João da Madeira (), is a city and a municipality in northwestern region of the Portuguese Norte region. It's part of the larger Porto Metropolitan Area, located 30 km from central Porto. The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The 2003–04 Primeira Liga was the 70th edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started 16 August 2003 with an opening game between Académica de Coimbra and Sporting Clube de Portugal, and ended on 9 May 2004. It was contested by 18 teams. FC Porto were the defending champions and became champions again, winning the Portuguese title in two consecutive seasons. The 1998–99 Taça de Portugal was the 59th edition of the Portuguese football knockout tournament, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The 1998–99 Taça de Portugal began in September 1998. The final was played on 19 June 1999 at the Estádio Nacional. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. The 2021–22 Taça de Portugal (also known as Taça de Portugal Placard for sponsorship reasons) is the 82nd edition of the Taça de Portugal, the premier knockout competition in Portuguese football.
