Ricardo Martins de Araújo (born 20 July 1986), commonly known as Kadu, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Chapecoense. Career Kadu started his career in Bragantino since the 2006 season. In 2007 Kadu have good actions with Bragantino (fourth place in Campeonato Paulista), and signed to Corinthians, to play Brazilian League. For Corinthians, Kadu started in the match against Sport Recife, in a nightmare game Kadu scored an own goal against Atlético Paranaense. Before this fact, and the exit of the coach, Paulo César Carpegiani, Kadu had never played any other game for the club. Paulo César Carpegiani (born 7 February 1949, in Erechim) is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career Carpegiani began his professional career at Sport Club Internacional of Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, where he played from 1970 to 1977, winning two Brazilian Championships (1975 and 1976). Carpegiani also played for Flamengo (1977–1980), winning the Brazilian Championship in 1980. Coaching career Upon retiring, he started a career as a football coach. 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition was originally scheduled to begin on 2 May and end on 28 November, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled for 7 August 2020–29 January 2021. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2019 season, four promoted from the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Confiança, Juventude, Náutico and Sampaio Corrêa), and four relegated from the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Avaí, Chapecoense, Cruzeiro and CSA). This was the first Série B played by Cruzeiro in their history. Cruzeiro were deducted six points after their denial to pay the fee that was agreed upon with Emirati side Al Wahda over Denílson loan in 2016.
