Ricard Sánchez
Ricard Sánchez Sendra (born 22 February 2000) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Granada CF. Club career Born in Sant Jaume dels Domenys, Tarragona, Catalonia, Sánchez joined FC Barcelona's La Masia in 2013, from Gimnàstic de Tarragona. He left the club in 2017, and played briefly for CD Toledo before joining Atlético Madrid in 2018. After making his senior debut with the reserves in Segunda División B, Sánchez made his first team debut on 16 December 2020, starting and scoring the second in a 3–0 Copa del Rey win against CE Cardassar. He made his professional – and La Liga – debut the following 20 February, in a 0–2 home defeat against Levante UD. On 31 August 2021, Sánchez signed a four-year deal with fellow top tier side Granada CF, and was immediately loaned to CD Lugo in Segunda División for the season. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. For next season the Segunda División B was demoted to the fourth level and dropped the B in its name in favour of the federation's Spanish initials RFEF on the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF. The 2019–20 Segunda División B season was the 43rd since its establishment. Eighty teams participated, distributed in four groups of twenty clubs each. On 11 March 2020, the season of Segunda División B was suspended due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. Also, the expansion of the league to five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season (due to promotion from the curtailed Tercera División groups being applied) was approved.
