Ricard Graells
Ricard Graells (Unknown - 11 December 1949) was the 15th president of FC Barcelona from 10 June 1919 to 27 June 1920. He took over the club after the founder Joan Gamper resigned presidency for the third time. Under his presidency the team won the double in 1920, the Campionat de Catalunya and the Copa del Rey. Biography Although little has been recorded of his playing career, he was one of the members that participated in the inaugural edition of the Pyrenees Cup, netting two very important goals, one in a 1–1 draw with Olympique de Cette in the semi-finals and the other in a 2–1 win over Real Sociedad in the final, thus contributing decisively in the club's first piece of international silverware. Before becoming president, Graells had been part of the club's board of directors in 1916 and 1917, with Gaspar Rosés as president. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. History This enterprise, according to its founders, was created in January 1994 by three regulars of the Rec.Sport.Soccer (RSS) Usenet newsgroup: Lars Aarhus, Kent Hedlundh, and Karel Stokkermans. It was originally known as the "North European Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation", but the geographical reference was dropped as its membership from other regions grew. 1920 Copa Del Rey Final
The 1920 Copa del Rey Final was the 20th final of the Spanish cup competition, the Copa del Rey. The final was played at El Molinón, in Gijón, on 2 May 1920, in front of an attendance of 10,000 spectators, who saw FC Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 2–0, thus winning their fourth cup title. The goals were scored in the second-half by Vicente Martínez and Paulino Alcántara. The final was attended by a large number of supporters from the Basque region, who arrived in Gijon by train. The match was surrounded by controversy due to referee Enrique Bertrán's performance, who annulled a goal by a penalty awarded to Athletic Bilbao, alleging that scorer Germán Echevarría had shot before he gave the order to do it. Nevertheless, the penalty was not kicked for a second time, as ruled on the laws of the game. The referee was also criticized for allowing misconduct from both teams. Hans Max Gamper-Haessig (; 22 November 1877 – 30 July 1930), commonly known as Joan Gamper (), was a Swiss-born Association football, football executive and versatile athlete. He founded football clubs in Switzerland and Spain, most notably FC Barcelona and FC Zürich. He is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in the amateur beginnings of FC Barcelona, being the fundamental head behind the foundation of the club in 1899, and then serving as the club's first Captain (association football), captain between 1899 and 1903, netting over 100 goals in just 48 matches for Barça and in 1902, he captained his side to a victory in the Copa Macaya, the club's very first title. FC Sète 34 is the current name of a French football club based in Sète and founded in 1901 as Olympique de Cette. The club has won the French league title twice (in 1934 and 1939) and the French cup also twice (1930 and 1934). In 1934 they became the first club to win the French league and cup double. At the time, they were using the Georges-Bayrou Stadium. Until 1960, the club played a major role in the French football championship, but due to financial issues, it was forced to give up professional status.
