Ribomapil Holganza, Sr.
Ribomapil Estrelloso Holganza, Sr. (April 26, 1935 – January 25, 2015), widely known as Dodong Holganza, was a Filipinos, Filipino activist and politician who served as a leader of the opposition against the 10th President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos on his native province of Cebu. As a founding member of the political party PDP–Laban, Holganza was involved with several opposition groups in the Visayas and Mindanao that helped gather support for the overthrow of President Marcos during the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986. Political career Ribomapil E. Holganza was born in Dumanjug, Cebu, and studied law at the University of San Carlos. Dumanjug, officially the Municipality of Dumanjug ( ceb, Lungsod sa Dumanjug; tgl, Bayan ng Dumanjug), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 57,823 people. It was established in 1855. Based on the cadastral survey map of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Dumanjug has an effective land area of Dumanjug is bordered to the north by the town of Barili, to the west is the Tañon Strait, to the east is the town of Sibonga, and to the south is the town of Ronda.
