Riblja Čorba
Riblja Čorba ( sr-Cyrl, Рибља Чорба, pronounced ; translation: lit. ''Fish Stew'') is a Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1978. The band was one of the most popular and most influential acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. Riblja Čorba was formed in 1978 by vocalist Bora Đorđević, guitarist Rajko Kojić, bass guitarist Miša Aleksić and drummer Vicko Milatović. Their debut release, the single "Lutka sa naslovne strane" (1978), saw huge success and launched them to fame. They were soon joined by guitarist Momčilo Bajagić "Bajaga", the new lineup releasing the album ''Kost u grlu'' (1979), which was, largely due to Đorđević's social-related lyrics, a huge commercial and critical success. Portorož
Portorož (; it, Portorose) is a Slovenian Adriatic seaside resort and spa town located in the Municipality of Piran in southwestern Slovenia. Its modern development began in the late 19th century with the vogue for the first health resorts. In the early 20th century Portorož became one of the grandest seaside resorts in the Adriatic, along with Abbazia, Lido and Grado, then as part of the Austrian Littoral. It is now one of Slovenia's major tourist areas. Opus (Yugoslav Band)
Opus ( sr-cyr, Опус) was a SFRY, Yugoslav progressive rock band formed in Belgrade in 1973. Opus was a prominent act of the 1970s Yugoslav rock scene. Formed and led by former YU Grupa keyboardist Miodrag "Mive" Okrugić, the band went through several lineup changes, its various lineups featuring notable musicians like guitarist Miodrag "Bata" Kostić, vocalist Dušan Prelević and guitarist Vidoja Božinović, Vidoja "Džindžer" Božinović. The band released only opus 1 (album), one studio album, ending their activity in 1979. Miša Aleksić
Miroslav "Miša" Aleksić (Serbian Cyrillic: Мирослав Миша Алексић, 16 August 1953 — 29 November 2020) was a Serbian musician, best known as the bass guitarist for the Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band Riblja Čorba. Biography Miša Aleksić started his career in 1970 in a band called Royali as their bass guitarist and vocalist. In 1970 the band won second place at the contest organized by editors of Radio Belgrade show ''Veče uz radio''. In 1971, Aleksić went to United States of America where he graduated at Pikesville High School in Pikesville, Maryland. With other students he formed rockabilly band Shih-Muh-Fuh (abbreviation from Shit Motherfucker). Influenced by the music of Grand Funk Railroad, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, after returning to Yugoslavia, Aleksić formed SOS with Dragan Štulović (guitar), Dragan Tasić (guitar) and Stevan Stevanović (drums). Nikola "Nidža" Zorić (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола "Ниџа" Зорић) is a Serbian musician best known as the keyboardist for the Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band Riblja Čorba. Biography Nikola Zorić started his career in 1997 with band Kazneni Prostor. Alongside working with the band Zorić became a member of choir Braća Baruh. Kazneni Prostor disbanded in 1999, and Zorić joined Riblja Čorba in 2002 replacing Vlada Barjaktarević. Vidoja Božinović
Vidoja Božinović (Serbian Cyrillic: Видоја Божиновић, born 3 October 1955), also known as Džindžer (transliteration for ''Ginger''), is a Serbian musician. He is best known as the guitarist for the Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band Riblja Čorba. Biography Vidoja Božinović started his career in 1974 as the guitarist for the band Dim Bez Vatre. After the group disbanded Božinović joined band Mirjan. In 1976 he joined progressive rock band Pop Mašina, whose member was already his brother Zoran Božinović. Miroslav "Vicko" Milatović (Serbian Cyrillic: Мирослав-Вицко Милатовић) is a Serbian musician best known as the drummer for the Serbian and Yugoslav rock band Riblja Čorba. Milatović first gained prominence in the late 1970s as the member of the Belgrade band SOS, which enjoyed some local popularity. In 1978, SOS members and vocalist Bora Đorđević formed the band Riblja Čorba, which went on to become one of the most popular and influential acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. Milatović has been the member of Riblja Čorba throughout the band's whole career, with only a short one-year absence from the group due to his mandatory army stint. Borisav "Bora" Đorđević ( sr-cyr, Борисав, Бора Ђорђевић; born 1 November 1952), also known as Bora Čorba ( sr-cyr, Бора Чорба), is a Serbian singer, songwriter, and poet. Van Gogh is a Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band from Belgrade. The band was formed in 1986, and released their debut alternative rock-oriented self-titled album during the same year. Babe ( sr-cyr, Бабе; translation: ''Grandmas'') is a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in 1992. Babe was formed as a supergroup, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Žika Milenković (of Bajaga i Instruktori), vocalist and drummer Goran Čavajda "Čavke" (of Električni Orgazam), guitarist Zoran Ilić (of Riblja Čorba) and bass guitarist Bojan Vasić (formerly of Bezobrazno Zeleno). During the recording sessions for the band's debut album, Vasić left the band and was replaced by Dejan Škopelja (formerly of U Škripcu). Oliver Mandić
Oliver Mandić (Serbian Cyrillic: Оливер Мандић; born 13 July 1953) is a Serbian rock musician, composer, and producer. Early life Musically involved from a young age, Mandić first started playing the accordion before taking up the piano. In his early youth, Mandić's family moved to the capital Belgrade where he pursued a career of a pianist after getting accepted at highly reputable Kornelije Stanković musical high school. However, despite a lot of promise, he left school in 1969 to try to branch out into pop music. Bezobrazno Zeleno
Bezobrazno Zeleno ( sr-cyr, Безобразно Зелено, trans. ''Rudely Green'') was a Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1980. Led by bass guitarist Bojan Vasić, the band belonged to the second generation of Belgrade new wave bands and took part in the notable '' Artistička radna akcija'' compilation album. In 1984 the band released their debut album ''BZ1'', but ended their activity soon after the album release. The band reformed in 1988, releasing their second studio album, ''Neonske bajke'' (1989), which featured more power pop-oriented sound.
