Ribenboim Prize
The Ribenboim Prize, named in honour of Paulo Ribenboim, is awarded by the Canadian Number Theory Association for distinguished research in number theory by a mathematician who is Canadian or has close connections to Canadian mathematics. Normally the winner will have received their Ph.D. in the last 12 years. The winner is expected to give a plenary talk at the award ceremony. Winners See also * List of mathematics awards References

Paulo Ribenboim
Paulo Ribenboim (born March 13, 1928) is a Brazilian-Canadian mathematician who specializes in number theory. Biography Ribenboim was born into a Jewish family in Recife, Brazil. He received his BSc in mathematics from the University of São Paulo in 1948, and won a fellowship to study with Jean Dieudonné in France at the University of Nancy in the early 1950s, where he became a close friend of Alexander Grothendieck. He has contributed to the theory of ideals and of valuations. Ribenboim has authored 246 publications including 13 books. He has been at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, since the 1960s, where he remains a professor emeritus. Jean Dieudonné was one of his doctoral advisors. Andrew Granville has been a doctoral student of Ribenboim. The Ribenboim Prize of the Canadian Number Theory Association is named in his honor. Maksym Radziwill
Maksym Radziwill is a Polish-Canadian mathematician specializing in number theory. He is currently a professor of mathematics at the California Institute of Technology. Life Radziwill graduated from McGill University in Montreal in 2009, and in 2013 earned a PhD under Kannan Soundararajan at Stanford University in California. In 2013–2014, he was at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey as a visiting member, and in 2014 became a Hill assistant professor at Rutgers University. In 2016, he became an assistant professor at McGill. In 2018, he became Professor of Mathematics at California Institute of Technology, and in 2022 he moved to the University of Texas at Austin. Jacob Tsimerman
Jacob Tsimerman (born 1988) is a Canadian mathematician at the University of Toronto specialising in number theory and related areas. He was awarded the SASTRA Ramanujan Prize in the year 2015 in recognition for his work on the André–Oort conjecture and for his work in both analytic number theory and algebraic geometry. Education He studied at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in math. He obtained his PhD from Princeton in 2011 under the guidance of Peter Sarnak. Career Jacob Tsimerman was born in Kazan, Russia, on April 26, 1988. In 1990 his family first moved to Israel and then in 1996 to Canada.
