Rhys Evans (rugby League)
Rhys Evans (born 1992) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played as a or mostly recently for the Bradford Bulls in the Betfred Championship. He has played for both the England Knights and Wales at international level. He has previously played for the Warrington Wolves in the Super League, and on loan from Warrington at the Leigh Centurions, Swinton Lions and the North Wales Crusaders. He has also played for Leigh in the Championship, and also on loan from Bradford at the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. Background Evans was born in Bridgend, Wales. He is the twin brother of fellow Wales international Ben Evans. Bridgend (; cy, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr or just , meaning "the end of the bridge on the Ogmore") is a town in Bridgend County Borough in Wales, west of Cardiff and east of Swansea. Tondu RFC
Tondu Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from the village of Aberkenfig, South Wales. They presently play in the Welsh Rugby Union Championship and are a feeder club for the Ospreys. During the early 1990s Tondu RFC dominated the Glamorgan County Silver Ball competition, winning the trophy in 1991, 1992 and 1993. Tondu are the joint leading winners of the competition having now won it on four occasions. The 2019 Rugby League World Cup 9s was the first staging of the Rugby League World Cup 9s tournament and took place on 18 and 19 October 2019 at Sydney's Bankwest Stadium.
