1999 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship
The 1999 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament was the 40th organized men's college soccer tournament by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, to determine the top college soccer team in the United States. The Indiana Hoosiers won their fifth national title by defeating the Santa Clara Broncos in the championship game, 1–0. The semifinal matches on December 10, 1999, and the final match on December 12 were played in Charlotte, North Carolina at Ericsson Stadium. Andy Williams (Jamaican Footballer)
Andrew Williams (born 23 September 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian- Jamaican retired footballer who last played as a midfielder for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Career College Williams played college soccer for the University of Rhode Island where he remains the team's all-time leading scorer, with 52 goals and 45 assists. Williams is one of 22 college players to be part of the 40-40 club, having both 40 goals and 40 assists in their college career. As of 2018, he is the most recent member of the 40-40 club. Simon Gatti (born February 16, 1981) is a Canadian former soccer player and current head coach for thMontreal Impact Academys U-14 team. He initially began his career in his home region of Niagara with St. Catharines Wolves in the Canadian Professional Soccer League. He made the transition to college soccer by enrolling at the University of Rhode Island, and during the off season he played in the Premier Development League with Rhode Island Stingrays. In 2006, he was drafted by the Montreal Impact of the USL First Division, where during his six seasons with the organization he won a league championship, and a Canadian Championship. Paulo Dos Santos (born 13 November 1973 in São Vicente, Cape Verde) is a Cape Verdean soccer midfielder who played two seasons with the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer, four seasons in the USISL and six seasons in Norway. Youth Dos Santos, a native of the Cape Verde Islands, moved to Brockton, Massachusetts when he was fourteen. He attended the University of Rhode Island, playing on the men's soccer team from 1993 to 1995. Danleigh Borman (born 27 January 1985 in Cape Town) is a South African footballer who plays as a defender. Career College and amateur Borman began his career in the youth system of South African Premier Soccer League side Santos, before moving to the United States in 2004 to play college soccer at the University of Rhode Island. He was named A-10 Rookie of the Year in 2004, finishing with two goals and five assists. Geoff Cameron
Geoffrey Scott "Geoff" Cameron (born July 11, 1985) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender. Cameron began playing college soccer with the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Rhode Island Rams, as well as USL Premier Development League side Rhode Island Stingrays, before being drafted by Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo in 2008. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Rutgers University–New Brunswick in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States.
