Rhiannon Pearce
Rhiannon Kate Pearce is an Australian politician. She has been a Labor member of the South Australian House of Assembly since the 2022 state election, representing King. Early and personal life Pearce grew up in Telowie in the state's Mid North and attended high school at St Mark's College in Port Pirie before moving to Adelaide at age 18 to study economics. She worked as a Community Engagement Advisor for then opposition Leader Peter Malinauskas. Pearce is married to Todd and has two children. Political career Pearce was elected at the 2022 state election to represent King. She replaced the Liberal politician, Paula Luethen, who had held the seat since 2018. She was supported in her campaign by the mentorship through Emily's List Australia. Susan Elizabeth Close (born 12 November 1967) is an Australian politician, who is currently the Deputy Premier of South Australia since March 2022. She also holds the ministerial portfolios of Minister for Climate, Environment and Water, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science and Minister for Defence and Space Industries while as Deputy Premier. Close is a member of the Australian Labor Party, serving as the deputy leader following the 2018 State election. She was first elected to the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Port Adelaide at the 2012 by-election, and held Cabinet portfolios in the Weatherill Ministry from 2014 to 2018. The Malinauskas ministry is the 74th and current ministry (cabinet) of the Government of South Australia, led by Peter Malinauskas of the South Australian Labor Party. It was formed after Labor's victory at the 2022 state election and succeeded the Marshall ministry.
