Rhein-Main Arena
The Rhein-Main Arena or Speedway Arena Diedenbergen is an 6,500 capacity motorcycle speedway and Flat track facility in Hofheim am Taunus, Germany. The track is located on the Wildsachsener Str road, on the northern outskirts of the village Diedenbergen and south west outskirts of Hofheim am Taunus. The track hosts the speedway team MSC Diedenbergen who race in the German Team Speedway Championship. The stadium has been a significant venue for major speedway events, including the final of the 1996 Speedway World Team Cup. On 12 May 2019, the 396 metre track record was broken by Kevin Wölbert Kevin Wölbert (born 14 June 1989) is a German speedway rider who has won Individual German Champion title in 2008. Flat Track
Dirt track racing is a form of motorsport held on clay or dirt surfaced oval race tracks often used for thoroughbred horse racing. Dirt track racing started in the United States before World War I and became widespread during the 1920s and 1930s using both automobiles and motorcycles. Two different types of race cars dominate — open wheel racers in the Northeast and West and stock cars in the Midwest and South. While open wheel race cars are purpose-built racing vehicles, stock cars (also known as fendered cars) can be either purpose-built race cars or street vehicles that have been modified to varying degrees. Hofheim (; officially known as Hofheim am Taunus) is the administrative centre of Main-Taunus-Kreis district, in the south of the German state of Hesse. Its population in September 2020 was 39,946. The 1996 Speedway World Team Cup was the 37th edition of the FIM Speedway World Team Cup to determine the team world champions. The final took place on 15 September, at the Diedenbergen stadium in Germany. The Poland team won their seventh title but their first for 27 years having last won the 1969 Speedway World Team Cup. Kevin Wölbert
Kevin Wölbert (born 14 June 1989) is a German speedway rider who has won Individual German Champion title in 2008. Career history When Max Dilger was injured, Wölbert was nominated as second track reserve at the 2008 German Grand Prix. But, after re-staged this event in Bydgoszcz, Poland (as the Final Grand Prix), Wölbert was replaced by Pole Grzegorz Zengota. Due to having Polish roots through his grandmother, Wölbert has been interest of Polish citizenship. He applied for citizenship in November 2009 in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Office in Bydgoszcz. His application was support by President of Grudziądz Robert Malinowski and a GTŻ Grudziądz, his Polish team. His application will be consider by the President of the Republic of Poland. As a Pole, he will be apply for a Polish speedway licence (''Licencja "Ż"'') and starting in Polish league as a domestic rider.
