Rhampholeon Maspictus
''Rhampholeon maspictus'', the Mount Mabu pygmy chameleon, is a small native species of chameleon endemic to the tropical rainforests atop Mount Mabu in Zambezia, Mozambique. It is roughly long. The specific epithet comes from the Latin "mas pictus," meaning "painted male," alluding to the unusual bright colours of most males, which are often retained for long periods, even when sleeping at night. ''R. maspictus'' occupy a range of , above sea level on Mount Mabu. The species is classified as "Near Threatened" for the small range of its distribution and its specialization to its Afromontane forest environment, unable to persist in altered habitats. Though its forest environment is intact, the edges of the forest are experiencing pressure from encroachment due to deforestation for agriculture and logging. If deforestation is to continue, ''R. maspictus'' may rapidly become " Critically Endangered," though anthropogenic threats are expected to be mitigated by local conservatio ...

Rhampholeon Marshalli
Marshall's pygmy chameleon (''Rhampholeon marshalli''), also called Marshall's leaf chameleon, Marshall's dwarf chameleon, or Marshall's stumptail chameleon, is a species of chameleon found in the forests of Zimbabwe and Mozambique in Africa. It grows from and feeds on insects. When standing still, it resembles a leaf on a branch. Etymology The specific name, ''marshalli'', is in honor of British entomologist Guy Anstruther Knox Marshall, who collected the holotype. Identification Marshall's leaf chameleon is unmistakable. It is the only such tiny chameleon in its range (sympatric with '' Chamaeleo dilepis quilensis'', the flap-necked chameleon to a degree). This is a tiny species of , females being slightly larger. Isolated populations have distinct size variations; for example, those found just to the north of Mutare appear to be larger than those just to the south (separated by deep valleys). It has a dorsoventrally flattened head and body with prominent ribs and apparent ven ...

''Rhampholeon chapmanorum'', also known commonly as Chapmans' pygmy chameleon, is a species of terrestrial pygmy chameleon, a lizard in the family Chamaeleonidae. The species is endemic to forest fragments in the Natundu Hills, Malawi. It was described as a species new to science by Colin R. Tilbury in 1992, from a patch of lowland seasonal rainforest in the Matandwe Forest Reserve. Geographic range and taxonomy The species ''R. chapmanorum'' was originally believed to be found across several inselbergs and mountains, until molecular phylogenetic analysis confirmed that it was endemic to the remaining forest in Malawi, and that other species from Mozambique were endemic to individual mountains.
