The Rezazadeh Stadium is an all-seater indoor arena located in Ardabil, Iran. It was opened in 2007 and has a capacity of 6,000 people. The stadium is named after Olympic Gold medalist and world record weightlifter Hossein Rezazadeh. Ardabil, Iran
Ardabil (, fa, اردبیل, Ardabīl or ''Ardebīl'') is a city in northwestern Iran, and the capital of Ardabil Province. As of the 2022 census, Ardabil's population was 588,000. Hossein Rezazadeh
Hossein Rezazadeh ( fa, حسین رضازاده, born 12 May 1978) is an Iranian politician and retired weightlifter. Rezazadeh is a two-time Olympic champion, four-time World Weightlifting champion, and five-time Asian champion. Rezazadeh has won the Iran Sportsperson of the Year award four times, more than any other athlete in the country's history. Rezazadeh is widely considered one of the greatest weightlifters of all time. 2017 Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship
The 2017 Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship was the second edition of the Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF). It was held in Ardabil, Iran from 1 to 9 May 2017. The tournament was served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship held in Cairo, Egypt with the top two ranked teams qualifying for the world championship. The matches was played in only one stadium in Ardabil: Rezazadeh Stadium. It was the first time that Iran and Ardabil had hosted the tournament. As hosts, Iran automatically participated for the tournament, while the remaining 10 teams (with the withdrawn of Philippines). Iran won the tournament with a 3–0 final win over Japan. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Qualification (AVC)
The AVC qualification for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship saw member nations compete for four places at the finals in Italy and Bulgaria. Pools composition 23 AVC national teams entered qualification. But, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan later withdrew and India later were excluded because of FIVB's suspension of the Volleyball Federation of India. Subzonal round Central Asia decided to hold the subzonal round with the bottom five ranked teams in Central Asia from the FIVB World Ranking as of October 2015. World Wrestling Clubs Cup
World Wrestling Clubs Cup is an international wrestling clubs competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling, United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held on the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran Wrestling Federation in 2014 in Iran. History 2014 Cup The inaugural cup was held in Juybar, Iran on November 26 to 28, 2014. The prize money for the top three teams was: $25,000 for first, $15,000 for second and $10,000 for third. A total of 15 teams competed. The Bangladesh team's participation was uncertain as the Bangladesh club Ansar did not release their wrestlers for the competition, who compromised 3 of the 8 wrestlers on the team, however the Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation intervened to gain their release. 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League
The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League was the second edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, an annual international men's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams. The competition was held between May and July 2019, and the final round took place in the Credit Union 1 Arena, Chicago, United States. This was the first edition of the World League or the Nations League to have the final round hosted in North America. Following the results of the 2018 Nations League and 2018 Challenger Cup, South Korea were replaced by debutants Portugal in this edition.
