Ark Acton Academy, is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in the Acton area of the London Borough of Ealing, England. The school teaches pupils between the ages of 11 to 18. It is sited on ''Gunnersbury Lane'' (A4000) just north of Acton Town Underground station. History Grammar school The school was originally known as Acton County Grammar School, which opened in 1906 for 200 boys (at a different site). It was the first purpose-built county grammar school in Middlesex. In 1958, it began admitting girls, becoming fully co-educational in 1966. In 1965, the school's administration moved from Middlesex County Council to the London Borough of Ealing. When proposals for going comprehensive appeared in 1966, parents took the LEA to court and lost. Reynolds High School (Troutdale, Oregon)
Reynolds High School is the only public high school in Troutdale, Oregon, United States, in the northeastern part of the Portland metropolitan area. It is part of the Reynolds School District, and is the second-largest high school in Oregon. History The school takes its name from the school district, which was named for the Reynolds Aluminum plant in the city that closed in 2000. On May 29, 1979, a three-alarm fire injured three students and damaged the gym and theater. Reynolds High School merged with Columbia High School in 1989. Columbia High School is now the site of Reynolds High School, and the former Reynolds High School is now one of three middle schools in the district, Reynolds Middle School. 2014 shooting On June 10, 2014, an active shooter situation occurred at the school during morning period. The Reynolds School District is a rural, public school district serving parts of Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Reynolds School District encompasses approximately encompassing the communities of Fredonia, West Salem Township, Delaware Township, and Pymatuning Township. The western border of the district is part of the Pennsylvania - Ohio border. According to 2000 federal census data, it served a resident population of 10,158. By 2010, the district's population declined to 9,611 people. It is built on what was once a military camp during World War II, Camp Reynolds.
