Reyna Isis
Reyna Isis (Yaksiry Palacios) is the ring name of a Mexican ''luchadora enmascarada'', or female masked professional wrestler. She started her career as a valet for the group ''Los Guerreros Tuareg'' in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), but later transitioned into an in-ring worker. She currently portrays a '' ruda'' ring character (the antagonists of wrestling) as she wrestled for CMLL, on the Mexican independent circuit and in Japan. Her ring name is Spanish for "Queen Isis" and her ring gear alludes to the original Eyptian Queen Isis with her veil-like mask. She is a former Mexican National Women's Champion. She lost her mask against La Jarochita at the CMLL 89th Anniversary Show. Arkangel De La Muerte
Alfredo Pasillas (July 16, 1966 – June 13, 2018) was a Mexican luchador and enmascarado (masked) professional wrestler, best known for his work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the ring name Arkangel de la Muerte. He is often referred to as just Arkangel, and previously worked under the ring name Mister Cid until 1991. His name means "Archangel of Death" in Spanish. In addition to his long in-ring career, Arkangel was most known for being a prolific professional wrestling trainer with CMLL's wrestling school and had a small or large part in training in all wrestlers who worked for CMLL between 2006 and his death in 2018. A wrestling mask is a fabric-based mask that some professional wrestlers wear as part of their in-ring persona or gimmick. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. History At the 1865 World's Fair, Theobaud Bauer debuted the mask, wrestling as "The Masked Wrestler" in Paris, France. He continued wrestling using the mask throughout France as part of a circus troupe in the 1860s before moving on to the United States in the early 1870s. The Mexican National Women's Championship ( es, Campeonato Nacional Femenil) is a women's professional wrestling championship for female wrestlers sanctioned by the ''Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F.'' (the Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission). While the Commission sanctions the title, it does not promote the events in which the Championship is defended. The championship is currently promoted by the Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling based promotion ''Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre'' (CMLL) and has in the past also been promoted by the Mexican-based ''Asistencia Asesoría y Administración'' (AAA) promotion. Arturo Beristain (born September 5, 1949) is a retired Mexican professional wrestler, or ''Luchador'' in Spanish, who works as a wrestling trainer at the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre's (CMLL) gym in Mexico City, Mexico. Beristain is best known for working under two different ring names, ''Talismán'' and ''El Hijo del Gladiador''; both personas started out as '' enmascarados'', or masked, and Beristain lost both masks in ''Luchas de Apuestas''. Iset (or ''Isis)'' was a queen of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, and she was named after goddess Isis. She was a secondary wife or concubine of Thutmose II. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects. "The role of a heel is to get 'heat,' which means spurring the crowd to obstreperous hatred, and generally involves cheating and pretty much any other manner of socially unacceptable behavior that will get the job done."
