Rey Pratt
Rey Lucero Pratt (October 11, 1878 – April 14, 1931) served the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) for 23 years as president of its Mexican Missions of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mission and for six years as a general authority. Pratt helped establish the church in Mexico and among Spanish language, Spanish-speaking populations in the United States and Argentina. He also translated LDS Church materials into Spanish, wrote magazine articles, and spoke regularly at General Conference (LDS Church), general conference. Pratt has at times been called the father of the Mexican Mission. Manassa, Colorado
The Town of Manassa is the Statutory Town that is the most populous municipality in Conejos County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 991 at the 2010 United States Census. History Today, approximately half of Manassa's residents are of Spanish and Mexican heritage. Migration patterns demonstrate how people from northern New Mexico settled this area in the mid 19th century. Setting Apart
Setting apart is a ritual or priesthood action in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where a person is formally blessed to carry out a specific calling or responsibility in the church. Once a person has accepted the responsibility of holding a church calling and has been accepted by the members for that position, one or more Melchizedek priesthood holders "set apart" the person to serve in that calling. Mission president is a priesthood leadership position in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
