Rey Guevarra
Rey Francis J. Guevarra (born November 24, 1986) is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Guevarra was selected by the Barako Bull Energy, Air21 Express third overall in the 2010 PBA draft. He is known for his great athleticism, and is one of the most athletic players in the PBA today, evidenced by him winning the Philippine Basketball Association All-Star Weekend, PBA Slam Dunk Contest for three consecutive years, from 2014 PBA All-Star Weekend, 2014 (with Justin Melton) to 2016 PBA All-Star Weekend, 2016, then again from 2018 PBA All-Star Week, 2018-2019 PBA All-Star Weekend, 2019. He also had a brief stint with the Smart Gilas national team under Serbian mentor Rajko Toroman. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. They are strategic and are often relied upon to score, defend, create open lanes, and rebound for their team. Rajko Toroman
Rajko Toroman ( sr-Cyrl, Рајко Тороман; born February 10, 1955) is a Serbian professional basketball coach. Coaching career Before 2016, he served as a team consultant for the Barako Bull Energy Cola and the Petron Blaze Boosters in the Philippine Basketball Association. He previously coached the Philippines men's national basketball team having been hired by country's basketball federation Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas. Toroman led the Philippines into 4th place in the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship. From 2014 to 2016, he served as the head coach of the Jordanian national basketball team. Justin Brian Melton (born April 7, 1987), popularly known as QuickMelt, Mouse, The Flying Minion, and Minion is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 13th overall by the San Mig Coffee Mixers in the 2013 PBA draft. Early career Justin Melton played high school basketball at Tabb High School in Yorktown, Virginia. After playing one year of junior varsity basketball, Melton played three years of varsity basketball, capturing Bay Rivers District 1st Team Honors in his junior and senior seasons. 2010 PBA Draft
The 2010 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event held at Market! Market! in Taguig on August 29, 2010 that allowed PBA teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. Players who applied for the draft went through a rookie camp that lasted a week. The San Miguel Beermen were the only team that did not have a single pick in the draft. The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters is a professional basketball team owned by Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc., which debuted in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) in the 2016 Commissioner's Cup. The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP)-National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) All-Star Game is an interleague basketball game between selected players of the UAAP and the NCAA. The league was composed of several commercial teams with several collegiate and provincial stars.
