Rex Records (1912)
Rex Records was a United States based record label owned by the Rex Talking Machine Corporation of Wilmington, Delaware. The company was in business from 1912 through 1919. They issued vertical cut double-sided ten- and 12-inch diameter disc records compatible with the Pathé Records system. They were bought out by Okeh Records. Rex Records (1933)
Rex Records was a United Kingdom-based record label founded in 1933 by the Crystalate Gramophone Record Manufacturing Company, also the parent of British Imperial Records. Rex released their first discs in September 1933, with the initial release bearing a catalogue number of 8000 or 8001. The company was taken over by Decca Records in March 1937. Rex Records were sold at Marks & Spencer's chain stores. The label was discontinued in February 1948. Despite wartime limitations, they had released approximately 2,250 discs.78rpmcommunity.com

Rex Records (1957)
Rex Records, sometimes identified by its record series Rex Heritage, was an independent record label based in Holyoke, Massachusetts. It was founded by Joe and Wanda Chesky who marketed it as ''"the king of polkas"'' releasing a substantial catalog of polka bands primarily from the New England area, as well as the Great Lakes states. Their artists included Bob Uguccioni, Wesoly Bolek, Fred Gregorich & the Del Fi's, Big Ted Nowak, Big Steve & the Bellaires, Walt Cieslik, Happy, Louie, Walt Solek, Jimmy Sturr, Al Soyka, and their son, Larry Chesky, who became largely identified with the label. While primarily a producer of LPs, the label also produced some 45 singles, as well as cassettes and 8-tracks. In its earliest years, the label appeared as a subsidiary of Al Solka's "Glo Records" of Somers, Connecticut, and for two decades was based out of 3 Granville Street, expanding into a larger space at 34 Martin Street in 1972. Rex Records (1965)
Rex Records (record distributors, Irish Record Factors, now owned by Decca Records) introduced the Rex record label in 1965 to supply the Irish market with material by showbands, ballad singers, solo performers, and the like. Among the artists who had their first releases on Rex was Dana, Ireland's 1970 Eurovision contestant, whose winning entry, "All Kinds of Everything", topped the Irish and British charts and amassed worldwide sales of over 2 million. Also released on Rex was a series of recordings by the band the Memories. Rex Records (2001)
The most recent record label to use the name Rex Records was started in 2001 as an off-shot of XL Recordings. Overall, it was an experiment releasing demo recordings from more left field artists. The label was the original home of Australian artists The Avalanches and The Vines, and has also released the single Seventeen Years by Ratatat.
