Rex Lease
Rex Lloyd Lease (February 11, 1903 – January 3, 1966) was an American actor. He appeared in over 300 films, mainly in Poverty Row westerns. Biography Lease arrived in Hollywood in 1924. He found bit and supporting parts at Film Booking Office (FBO), Rayart, more, and was given the opportunity to play a few leads. His first film was ''A Woman Who Sinned'' (FBO, 1924). Lease's earliest westerns were a pair of Tim McCoy silents at MGM, one of which was ''The Law of the Range'' (MGM, 1928) which had a young Joan Crawford as the heroine and Lease as the Solitaire Kid. McCoy and Lease became friends, and over the next dozen or so years, he appeared in seven more McCoy westerns. He had a featured role in director Frank Capra's ''The Younger Generation'' (Columbia, 1929), a tale of a Jewish family that moves to a more up-scale neighborhood. Vera Reynolds
Vera Reynolds (born Vera Nancy Reynolds; November 25, 1899 – April 22, 1962) was an American film actress. Early life and career Born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1899, Reynolds first worked in films at age 12. She began as a dancer, worked as one of the Sennett Bathing Beauties, and became a leading lady in silent motion pictures. Among her film credits are starring roles in Sam Wood's ''Prodigal Daughters'' (1923), and Cecil B. DeMille's '' Feet of Clay'' (1924), ''The Golden Bed'' (1925), ''The Road to Yesterday'' (1925) and ''Dragnet Patrol'' (1931) with George "Gabby" Hayes. Heroes Of The Alamo
Heroes of the Alamo (1937) is a low-budget retelling of the events of the Texas Revolution and the Battle of the Alamo. It was produced by Anthony J. Xydias and reuses the battle scenes of his 1926 silent film ''Davy Crockett at the Fall of the Alamo''. About 35 minutes of the latter film is available on the DVD of ''Heroes of the Alamo'', all that remains of the silent film. Plot Unlike other Alamo films that concentrate on Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, the main protagonists are Almaron (Bruce Warren) and Susanna Dickinson (Ruth Findlay) and their daughter Angelina (Marilyn Haslett). Rin Tin Tin or Rin-Tin-Tin (September 1918 – August 10, 1932) was a male German Shepherd born in Flirey, Flirey, France, who became an international star in motion pictures. He was rescued from a World War I battlefield by an American soldier, Lee Duncan, who nicknamed him "Rinty". Duncan trained Rin Tin Tin and obtained silent film work for the dog. Rin Tin Tin was an immediate box-office success and went on to appear in 27 Cinema of the United States, Hollywood films, gaining worldwide fame.
