Revolutionary Comics
Revolutionary Comics was an American comic book publisher specializing in unauthorized profiles of entertainers and professional athletes, as well as a line of erotic comics. Its flagship series was ''Rock 'N' Roll Comics''. Founded by Todd Loren, Revolutionary Comics was based in San Diego. History Origins After some success with Musicade, a mail order music memorabilia company, Loren formed Revolutionary Comics in 1989. The publisher's first title was ''Rock 'N' Roll Comics'', a line of unauthorized comic book biographies of rock stars prompted in part by the success of a 1986 Bruce Springsteen parody comic called ''Hey Boss''. ''Rock 'N' Roll Comics'' Early issues of ''Rock 'N' Roll Comics'' contained straight biographies in comic form and '' Mad'' magazine-style parodies. The parodies were later dropped. The direct market is the dominant distribution and retail network for American comic books. The concept of the direct market was created in the 1970s by Phil Seuling. Demi the Demoness is a fictional, humorous, erotic comics character whose fantasy adventures have been published since 1992. Demi was created by SS Crompton. Demi has appeared in numerous comics crossovers with other characters, including ''Shaundra'', '' Captain Fortune'', ''Mauvette'', ''Vampirooni'', ''Cassiopeia the Witch'', ''Djustine'', ''Crimson Gash'', and adult film stars Tracey Adams, Tabitha Stevens, Deja Sin, and Bonnie Michaels. SS Crompton
Steven S. Crompton is a Canadian-born artist, author and designer who has worked in the role-playing and comic genres since 1981. In the gaming industry he is best known as the artist for the Grimtooth's Traps books as well as other ''Catalyst'' role-playing game supplements, ''Tunnels & Trolls'' and the ''Nuclear War'' card game. Education Steven Crompton went to Arizona State University art college for two years, the Scottsdale Community College, and the Vo-Tech Commercial Art School.
