Revolution is the fourth self-produced studio album by the Albany, New York, Albany-based pop rock band Sirsy, released on October 20, 2007. The album was remixed by Paul Kolderie and rereleased on July 6, 2010 by Funzalo Records. In addition to touring the East Coast of the United States, Sirsy has been the opening act for artists including Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Maroon 5, Blues Traveler, Collective Soul, Cheap Trick, Vertical Horizon, Lifehouse, Undercover and Fuel. The name Sirsy came from a childhood nickname of Krahmer, whose younger sister couldn't pronounce "sister." History The band was formed in 2000. Troy is a city in the U.S. state of New York and the county seat of Rensselaer County. The city is located on the western edge of Rensselaer County and on the eastern bank of the Hudson River. Revolution Hall (Troy, New York)
Revolution Hall is a music venue in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. It is located within the former Washington High School, and was originally constructed as the school's auditorium. The auditorium was in use from the school's opening in 1924 to its closure in 1981, and was unused until February 2015. As part of a larger redevelopment that saw the school converted into office and retail space, the auditorium was renovated into a music venue. During construction, two bars and a roof deck were added, but the original wooden seats were preserved. The venue officially opened on April 17, 2015, with a concert by Neko Case. Paul Kolderie
Paul Q. Kolderie is an American record producer, engineer, and mixer. He has worked with Pixies, Radiohead, Orangutang, Hole, Dinosaur Jr., Juliana Hatfield, Wax, Warren Zevon, Uncle Tupelo, Throwing Muses, Morphine, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Abandoned Pools, the Go-Go's, and Mike Gordon of Phish. He usually works with production partner Sean Slade. Kolderie and Slade were friends from Yale University, where they played in bands together. They also became members of Sex Execs, a Boston-based new wave music band of the early 1980s. The duo had their formative experience as producers while they were in Sex Execs. Most of the group lived in a house in Dorchester, Boston that was wired up as a primitive studio. Pop Rock
Pop rock (also typeset as pop/rock) is a fusion genre with an emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft, and less emphasis on attitude than rock music.
