''Revolution'' is a 2016 comic book storyline published by IDW Publishing, that ran from September to November 2016. The story involves characters from various Hasbro franchises. Plot Main story Several months after Optimus Prime's controversial annexation of Earth into the Cybertronian Council of Worlds, the political situation remains volatile as humanity struggles to come to terms with the actions of the Transformers, viewing them with distrust. The tensions heighten after Earth's deposits of Ore-13 start to rapidly destabilize, threatening the planet with nuclear annihilation. Believing the Autobots to be responsible, the President of the United States makes the decision to reactivate America's highly trained special mission force G.I. Joe to counterattack. Revolution (Marvel Comics)
"Revolution" was the title given to the May 2000 revamp of Marvel Comics' X-Men-related comic books, timed to coincide with the publication of ''X-Men'' vol. 2 #100. Publication history In each series, the "Revolution" issue represented a jump of six months after the previous issue's events. In most cases, "Revolution" also marked an attempt to send each title in a new creative direction. To this end, new creative teams were assigned to the titles. Many characters' costumes were redesigned, and a "Revolution" logo was printed along the right-hand side of each issue. The most publicized of the changes was the return of writer Chris Claremont to the flagship titles ''X-Men'' vol. 2 and ''Uncanny X-Men'', after nearly a decade's absence. Micronauts
Micronauts is a North American science fiction toyline manufactured and marketed by Mego Corporation, Mego from 1976 to 1980. The ''Micronauts'' toyline was based on and licensed from the ''Microman'' toyline created by Japanese-based toy company Takara in 1974. Mego discontinued the ''Micronauts'' line in 1980 prior to the company’s bankruptcy and dissolution in 1982. Years after Mego’s demise, other toy companies, such as Palisades Toys and SOTA Toys, SOTA (State of the Art) Toys, have attempted to revive the toyline. Description The ''Micronauts'' toyline consisted of action figures which were known for their high number of articulation points relative to other toys of similar size and scale in the 1970s. Chris Ryall
Christopher Ryall (born April 2) is best known as the former President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer of IDW Publishing (June 2004–2019), and as a writer in the comic book industry. In February 2011, his Eisner Award-nominated series, ''Zombies vs. Robots'', co-created with artist Ashley Wood, was optioned by Sony Pictures for Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes with Mike Flanagan as director. Career In 2002, Ryall was hired by filmmaker Kevin Smith to run the entertainment-based MoviePoopShoot.com, one of Smith’s first forays outside of filmmaking. The site originally appeared in Smith's 2001 film, '' Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'', as a parody site. Mobile Armored Strike Kommand
M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) is a media franchise created by Kenner. The main premise revolved around the fight between the titular protagonist underground task force and the criminal organization V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem). After its initial launch in 1985, the franchise spawned a variety of products and presentations, including four series of action figures, an animated television series, video games, comics, and a live-action theatrical film currently in development by Hasbro Studios and Paramount. History M.A.S.K. was developed by Kenner in 1985, along with an animated television series to help with toy merchandising. ''Action Man'' was a UK comic book series published by Panini Comics, based on the Hasbro toy line of the same name. It ran for 138 issues between 1996 and January 18, 2006 before being surpassed by spin-off series ''Action Man: A.T.O.M.''. The comic was initially published every month, with this later changing to every three weeks. The final editor was Ed Caruana, with previous editors including Rob Jones. Publication history Panini Comics began publishing Action Man in 1996, with the Marvel Comics logo being featured on the cover for the first few years of publication. Panini had obtained the Marvel UK licence in 1995, with Marvel UK having themselves previously published an Action Force comic during the 1980s. ''The Micronauts'' are comic books featuring a group of characters based on the Mego Micronauts toy line. The first title was published by Marvel Comics in 1979, with both original characters and characters based on the toys. Marvel published two ''Micronauts'' series, mostly written by Bill Mantlo, until 1986, well after the toy line was cancelled in 1980. In the 2000s, Image Comics and Devil's Due Publishing each briefly published their own ''Micronauts'' series.
