History After releasing a demo in the late 1990s Iron Fire experienced a small breakthrough in 2000 when their debut album ''Thunderstorm'' was released on Noise Records. At the time power metal was in vogue in Europe with bands like HammerFall, Freedom Call, Nocturnal Rites, and Sonata Arctica all coming through. Power Metal
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Power metal bands usually have anthem-like songs with fantasy-based subject matter and strong choruses, thus creating a theatrical, dramatic and emotionally "powerful" sound. Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal and hard rock. Iron () is a chemical element with symbol Fe (from la, ferrum) and atomic number 26. It is a metal that belongs to the first transition series and group 8 of the periodic table. It is, by mass, the most common element on Earth, right in front of oxygen (32.1% and 30.1%, respectively), forming much of Earth's outer and inner core.
