Revelations (Vader Album)
''Revelations'' is the fifth album by the Polish death metal band Vader. It was released in 2002 by Metal Blade Records. The release was preceded by the single "Angel of Death" which was released on 10 April 2002. The album was nominated for a Fryderyk Award in the category 'Heavy Metal Album of the Year (Album roku - heavy metal)'. The working title of the album was ''Epitaph''. Revelations was recorded between February and March 2002 at Red Studio in Gdańsk, Poland, and was produced by Piotr Wiwczarek. The album was mastered by Bartłomiej Kuźniak at Studio 333 in Częstochowa, Poland. It features guest appearances from Polish metal musicians Nergal of Behemoth who provides vocals on the track "Whisper", and Ureck of Lux Occulta who plays keyboards on the tracks: "Torch of War" and "Revelation of Black Moses." Vader (band)
Vader is a Polish death metal band from Olsztyn. Formed in 1983, the group was founded by then-bassist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek and guitarist Zbigniew "Vika" Wróblewski. Vader went through several lineup changes over the years, with Wiwczarek as the only constant member. Since 2022, the band has comprised Wiwczarek on guitars and vocals, guitarist Marek "Spider" Pająk, bassist Tomasz "Hal" Halicki, and drummer Michał Andrzejczyk. Starting as a heavy metal group, Vader eventually went to thrash, speed, and then in the late 1980s became a death metal band. It would not be until nine years after forming that they managed to release their debut album '' The Ultimate Incantation'' (1992); Vader has released eleven more studio albums since then. Lux Occulta
Lux Occulta (which is Latin for "hidden light" or "the secrets of light") is a Polish avant-garde metal band, founded in late 1994. Their work, also strongly influenced by progressive metal and black metal, commonly incorporates elaborate arrangements often featuring multiple sections and unpredictable time changes. Biography The band was started when guitarists Peter and G'Ames, formerly of Blaspherion, asked Jaro.Slav, the vocalist of Haemorrhage, to join their new project. Sceptic (band)
The band was founded in 1994 in Cracow (Poland) initially under the name TORMENTOR, on the initiative of guitarists Jacek Hiro and Dariusz Styczen and drummer Maciej Zięba. A year later, already functioning as SCEPTIC, Dariusz Styczeń left the group and was replaced by Jacek Mrożek. In 1996, supplemented by a vocalist, the group recorded the first demo entitled "Demo'96". After the recordings, Stawiarski left the group, whose role was taken over by Mrożek. In the same year, the bassist Paweł Kolasa joined the band (associated with Atrophia Red Sun) with whom the band recorded the second demo entitled "Beyond Reality". Krzysztof Raczkowski
Krzysztof Raczkowski (29 October 1970 – 18 August 2005), also known as Docent or Doc, was a Polish drummer, best known as a member of Polish death metal bands Vader (1988–2005) and Dies Irae. He also appeared as a guest or temporary musician in Sweet Noise, Hunter, Slashing Death, Unborn, Moon, and Overdub Trio. Final years In the last few years of his life, Raczkowski had been suffering serious alcohol problems. Originally, drum sessions for Vader's album, '' The Beast'' took place at Hertz Studio in Białystok in February 2004, however, Raczkowski fell down a flight of stairs, causing arm and leg injuries. Because of the accident, the studio sessions was postponed. Ultimately, the band decided to hire Vesania drummer Dariusz "Daray" Brzozowski as a session musician. In music performances, rhythm guitar is a technique and role that performs a combination of two functions: to provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other instruments from the rhythm section (e.g., drum kit, bass guitar); and to provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords from a song's chord progression, where a chord is a group of notes played together.
