Reuben Wu
Reuben Wu (born 1975) is a British artist, photographer, musician, and industrial designer. He is also known as a keyboardist, songwriter, and producer for the electronic band Ladytron. Biography Reuben Wu was born in Liverpool in 1975, the son of Hongkonger immigrants. He trained in industrial design at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating in 1997. Meanwhile, he met Daniel Hunt in Liverpool in 1994; they formed Ladytron in 1999, along with Mira Aroyo and Helen Marnie. Wu finished his MSc in 1998 at the University of Liverpool. He worked as an industrial designer until going full-time with the band in 2002. Wu hand drew the artwork of the UK edition of Ladytron's first album ''604'' and began to document his travels on tour with the band via photography. His visual art career began in 2012 once the band took a break and he was able to focus full-time on his own creative output. ''604'' is the debut studio album by English electronic music band Ladytron, released in the United States on 6 February 2001 by Emperor Norton Records and in the United Kingdom on 12 March 2001 by Invicta Hi-Fi. It was co-produced, engineered and mixed by Lance Thomas. Some of the tracks had been previously released on their EPs ''Miss Black and Her Friends'' (1999), ''Mu-Tron EP'' (2000) and ''Commodore Rock'' (2000). On 20 July 2004, ''604'' was reissued in the US with four bonus tracks, the first three being live recordings made on 16 May 2003 at the Central Military Club in Sofia, Bulgaria. The January 2011 re-release of the album on Nettwerk also features these same bonus tracks. In a 2002 interview with online magazine Chaos Control, Daniel Hunt stated that the album was named after the area code 604, area code for British Columbia. Samuel Burgess-Johnson is an English art director, graphic designer and photographer based in Los Angeles, known for working with musical artists such as The 1975, Tove Lo, Wolf Alice and No Rome. Career Samuel Burgess-Johnson moved to Melbourne after finishing university and began working as an art director. Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. Korova (Liverpool)
Korova was a bar, music venue and restaurant located at 32 Hope Street, Liverpool, England. Before moving to its current premises, it was located on Fleet Street close to Concert Square. Its name referenced the Korova Milk Bar from '' A Clockwork Orange''.. It has since been relaunched as "Frederick's".
