The Doctor is the title character in the long-running BBC science fiction television programme '' Doctor Who''. ''Planet of the Daleks'' is the fourth serial of the tenth season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in six weekly parts on BBC1 from 7 April to 12 May 1973. Continuing from the events of the serial ''Frontier in Space'', the story involves a small team of Daleks plotting to revive an army of Daleks which are being kept in suspended animation on the planet Spiridon. Ogron
Ogrons are a fictional extraterrestrial race from the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Ogrons are low-intelligence, ape-like hominids who live in scattered communities on the rocky planet Ograviss, on the outer fringes of the Milky Way, far from the central spaceways. The dominant lifeform on their home planet is a giant slug-like lizard named the Eater, which preys on and is prayed to by the Ogrons. Ogrons are hired mercenaries. Gareth Daniel Thomas (12 February 1945 – 13 April 2016) was a Welsh actor, born in England. He rose to national prominence playing the role of Roj Blake in the BBC science fiction television series ''Blake's 7'' (1978–81). Early life Thomas was born on 12 February 1945 in Brentford, England, and grew up in Aberystwyth, Wales. He was the younger of two sons of Kenneth Thomas, a barrister who had been a junior at the Nuremberg trials, and his wife, Olga (''née'' Noake). Thomas attended the King's School, Canterbury and was a member of the National Youth Theatre, appearing with them in the 1967 production of ''Zigger Zagger''.
