Resurrection (documentary)
''Resurrection'' is a 2016 documentary film by Eugenio Polgovsky about the extremely polluted environment around the waterfall of El Salto de Juanacatlán, in Mexico. Synopsis The place that used to be known as the "Mexican Niagara", a natural paradise shaped by the Santiago river and the waterfall of "El Salto de Juanacatlán" is now a poisonous place for the community that lives in its bank. With the establishment of an industrial corridor near the city of Guadalajara in the 70's, the waters became toxic and destructive. Today the Santiago river is one of the most polluted ones in Mexico. Eugenio Polgovsky
Eugenio Polgovsky (Mexico City, June 29, 1977 – London, August 11, 2017) was a Mexican filmmaker and visual artist. He worked as director, cinematographer, editor, sound designer and producer of his films. Polgovsky was known for the Mexican documentaries "Tropic of Cancer" ( Semaine de la Critique 2005) and ''Los Herederos'' "The Inheritors" (Mostra of Venice, ''Orrizontti'' 2008 & Berlinale ''Generation'' 2009). He was the first filmmaker invited in the history of Trinity College, Cambridge, as Fellow Communer in Arts in 2016. Polgovsky was the founder of Tecolote Films in Mexico City (2004). Julio Chavezmontes is a renowned Mexican producer and screenwriter, winner of the Best Screenplay award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and twice nominated for the AMACC Ariel Award. He has produced more than 20 films, many of which have been screened at the world's leading film festivals, including Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, Venice, and Toronto, among others. PIANO
The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coated with a softer material (modern hammers are covered with dense wool felt; some early pianos used leather). Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements.
